Guardian Information Services Emergency Medical Identification ripoff unauthorized withdrawal of funds from checking account illegal!! ripoff deceptive company Champlain New York

November 4th Guardian Info Services fraudulantly deducted 229.95 from my checking account.

This was after I explicitly told them I was not interested in their product nor did I want anything they were ever selling. I did not give them my account number, but somehow they got it.

So far this has cost me about $1000 in NSF charges, check fees, inconvenience etc. etc. etc. Unfortunately, I didn't catch it right away since we had recently (like within a day) charged an extremely similar amount which was valid... Ugh... It's nearly Christmas and I'm STILL untangling this!

I called the FBI here in AK and they told me they couldn't get an investigation opened for less than $100k, but my bank started a Fraud investigation.

However, I called Guardian, told them I had contacted the FBI, and my bank, raised a huge stink, and the agreed to return 184.95 of it. Which is the deduction less a $45 restocking fee for something I've never received.

I want to sue this company, but am a "little person" and the FBI, the state troopers and local police all claim it's out of their jurisdiction or not big enough to bother with.
