The company offers a free trip or wedding rings through an offer either from a bridal show or other Bridal websites such as Davids Bridals. You have to sit through this presentation about healthy cookware. By the end of the presentation you want to buy it but it's very expensive. They offer a 40 percent off discount and you can get both the vacation free and the weddings rings plus more offers.

This seems like a good idea. However, if you finance the percentage is rediculous. We didn't realize when we were there because we really try to be healthy and wanted to get some great cookwear, but basically with the interest percent there is no real discount on the product. When we looked up the company online after we had already signed our lives away for this product and given them all this information about us we realized it was a scam.

This whole thing seems legit. They have a facebook page and I noted on that Facebook page a lady had problems cleaning her pots and pans. She had been trying to get a hold of them for awhile now and was still paying on them. This poor young woman has two children and the price of the product is really waying them down.

I contacted the sales associate we dealt with to tell him we were canceling and I explained why. He said that there were scams out there but their company was legitimate. I ofcourse let everyone tell their side of the story being a fair and open minded person. However,  when the president/ owner of the company called he call me from not only his cell phone, but another cell phone. When I call that number back it sounds like the same voice, but the voicemail box is for a Michael Vincent.

If you look at Michael Vincent online he is a scam artist. Ofcourse this could be just a similar name and a family memebers phone. The Owner Angelo Acocella assured me I could cancel and if I didn't he would take some money off the product even if he didn't make a profit off of it. He also assured me he would take care of the woman on facebook's issue and that he was unaware of it as they fired their social media account person.

However, I had a screen shot that i sent him about the woman so he could take care of the issue. I kept this because although i believe I am being scammed, I am not stupid. I found the woman online and contacted her because Angelo had deleted her complaint off of the Facebook page. She said her issue wasn't taken care of and went into great deal about the problems she was having with the product and supposed lifetime warranty that was no being accepted.

This morning 09/08/2014, I spoke with Mr. Angelo Acocella again. He was very rude and was trying to make me not cancel. When I had spoken with him over the weekend he said I could cancel with him, but now I have to fill out a cancelation form ( you only have three days to cancel/rescind the contract). I have filled it out and sent it in, but when I spoke to a lady before speaking to the sales representative or the owner/president on Saturday she told me to call back and cancel my order on Monday.

Since I want to make sure that nothing gets screwed up any further. I also called the company and spoke to the operator about canceling my order. He was very nice which was extremely comforting! He told me that he made a note to cancel it and told me to contact my sales associate Jon to tell him to make notations about the cancelation. I texted Jon, not wanting to deal with any more on the phone trying to get me to keep the contract.

I have not heard back from Jon, but I will see how this plays out within this next week. It's very disconcerning because I feel this is a huge scam against young couples getting married. The Guiding the Brides website looks fake, their twitter page has very few followers and if you look online/google it there are many people talking about being scammed. I really hope everything is taken care of with this cancelation, but just incase it's not I am writing this.

I am also writing to warn people not to fall into this trap. This is a trap to make money, even if they are a legitimate company  they are not being honest with the way they present the material. i doubt they are legitamate though. Please BEWARE.

P.S. Simplicity Gourmet and Chef World I beleve were the same company that went out of business because they were scamming people. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!
