Gunther Volkswagen of Buford, GA Offered one price until vehicle arrived and then increased the price Buford, Georgia

We were offered invoice price on a new 2012 VW Passat.  We placed a deposit and the dealership ordered the car.  After waiting three months for the car to arrive, the salesman informed me that the owner decided that after the car arrived that the Joe Gunther stated that if someone came in before we arrived and offered more money for the car, he would sell it to them.  A week later, when the car actually arrived, the salesman called and we went to the dealership. 

He informed as that Joe had decided that due to the lack of inventory of the car, that he was not going to sell the car at the agreed upon price, and instead added $500 to the sales price.  The salesman stated that he did not agree with the practice, but he didn't own the place. 

I asked to speak with the owner directly and he refused saying that Joe was in a bad mood and didn't want to discuss the purchase.  We were left with the option of take the car at their price or place another order with another dealer and wait another 3-4 months for that car to arrive.  We purchased the vehicle at the increased price, but we will never look to Gunther to purchase another vehicle in the future.  We had the option to order the car from another dealership at the same invoice price, but elected to order from Gunther because they were closer to our home.
