What this company should do is what other online retailers of LIVE PLANTS do--tell you up front that they can't ship to a PO Box.  That way you can make other arrangements.  Instead this company allows you to order but will ship your LIVE PLANTS using FedEx who delivers to the post office who will then deliver to you.  This is fine for most things--but not for LIVE PLANTS--as the additional transit time is too long for asparagus crowns and other LIVE PLANTS to be sitting in a box.

Gurney's doesn't really spell this out on the website, simply allow you to place an order so their marketing is deceptive as most people probably wouldn't order LIVE PLANTS knowing how long it would take to get them and the low chance of the plants arriving alive.  Since they are selling LIVE PLANTS, I'm sure Gurney's knows those plants don't have a chance.  This is simply decptive marketing.

I've order plants THREE weeks ago which they expect to ship next week--very, very slow.  I checked with "customer service" which is obviously in India and provides only typically robotic responses that they read from their scripts that many customer service firms are known for--extremely bad customer service. There is another ripoff report on this site that mentions that the American customer service employees were all outsourced to India in 2014.  If I had known that, I would not have ordered from Gurney's.

I wanted to cancel the order since it hasn't shipped and after finding out that the plants will be in transit for much longer than I thought and will probably be dead when they arrive, but was told that the order was "in process" and could not be cancelled although it has not been shipped, that I would have to call them back once the plants arrived and get a refund.  I  seriously doubt they will refund my money.

Deceptive marketing, slow shipping that guarentees dead plants, horrible "customer service" -- just don't buy anything from these folks.
