WARNING - AAA Automobile Club tow truck provider in Huntington Beach will force you to Gustafson Brothers - once there you are screwed - learn from my mistakes and switch ASAP to MCA who does not force you to a mechanic :
My wife's car broke down with our two small children. She called AAA and requested to be towed to our mechanic in Huntington Beach. To he shock, she was taken to another garage in Huntington Beach and her car was dropped at a place called Gustafson Brothers.
The driver took off and when my wife called AAA again, she was told that if she wanted to be towed to our mechanic it would cost $60. She asked why she was not taken to where she asked to be towed and AAA said they would file a complaint.
Once at Gustafson Brothers my wife was taken advantage of -- she was was told the only way she could get her car back is if she agreed to nearly $2,000 in repairs stuck as a strange mechanic with two small children she agreed.
They kept her car till past closing, told it was repaired. She was there for nearly 8 hours, with a 7 month old and 2 year old. They told he she needed to sign the paper work, drove off and within a mile was nearly killed when her brakes failed. The very problem they were to fix.
Gustafson pulled a quick one -- they had my wife sign paperwork claiming she was satisfied with the repairs when she left their shop and that Gustafson only repaired other things not the brakes -- even though when her car broke down it was over the brakes.
SCAM -- FRAUD -- THEY ALMOST KILLED MY FAMILY.

This place is horrid. Not sure whom they paid for all the positive reviews they are obviously FAKE.
I called AAA to be towed to my mechanic, the driver showed up, but dropped me at Gustafson Brothers. I asked to be taken to my mechanic but the driver left - I was forced to have my car repaired. After leaving my ctar broke down and I called AAA and was unable a a hold of anyone in the claims department for days.
I finally was about to speakwith Chris in Customer Service, who was ETREMELY RUDE. He blatantly told me that they would not cover a rental car for me because it wasn't their fault that Gustafson Brothers mis-diagnosed and failed to fix my car.
This man straight argued with me on the phone for 30 minutes with my boyfriend listening in the background.
I then asked to speak to his supervisor, He REFUSED and claimed he was God of AAA all things automotive.
A day later, with my car still not working I told Chris I was sick of the run a round. Chris told me that he would issue me a partial refund for the faulty repairs at the place AAA force me to go.
As I have not received the check yet, I Gustafson Brothers to plead. This guy was WORSE! He called me a "***", along with a few other names on the phone (while apparently they record all of their calls.) Im sure this call got erased. He sounded like he was walking around outside. This man refused to "repair" or "refund" my money.
I got NOTHING but problems, arguments, and rude customer service, with no help what-so-ever!When I mentioned to the owner that I would be filing with the BBB against them, his exact words were "Ill be waiting here crying, shaking in my boots."

Hello. This is Dr. Texino, the stem cell guy. Now, everyone knows that tow truck outfits are shady, and this often spills over into the mechanical aspect of the business.
I know this to be true as I have run a lab in the basement
of such a place and have shot the breeze with the staff while waiting for fetus delivery.
To avoid further ripping off, you should create a relationship with decent garage and should you break down, have what ever towing service that shows up take you to that business and bill them for the tow.
That way you will avoid a large rip off towing bill.
