On 08/02/06 I purchased a Major League Baseball pick from the website winningedge.com. That pick was a loser, and I called in 08/03/06 for a replacement free pick. I spoke with an account representative by the name of Nick who gave me another pick which ended up being a winner.

On 08/04/06 I received another call from Nick who told me that I should consider a monthly membership to the service for $200. He told me it would include Vegas Crusher and Champion's Club picks on a daily basis. He informed me that I would receive an 800 number with a special pin code to retrieve the picks or that he would call me daily to tell me how to make the plays. I told him I was hard to get a hold of and he agreed that he would leave the picks on my voicemail. I agreed and bought the package for $200 to try it out.

Once I was done making that purchase, Nick began to upsell me on another package which included not only all of the picks previously mentioned but Blue Chip plays through the Super Bowl. The cost of this package was $1000. When I told him I didn't have $1000 to spend he agreed to apply the $200 I had previously spent to the $1000, making my total outlay an additional $800.

Again, it was made clear that I would receive daily calls on how to make the plays and that for my purchase I was to receive a special play of the day (making 3 total for the day.)

Nick gave me the details on one play and was to call me back within 10 minutes for the details on the remaining 2 plays. Instead, what I received was a call from a Mr. Bill Fritz who once again tried to upsell me on another package: a Guaranteed Winners package.

I told him I wasn't interested in any other packages and that I had already spent a lot with them that day. He continued to pressure me into purchasing the package and would not take no for an answer.

I later called my representative Nick back and told him I only wanted to deal with him, no one else. At no time during that day was I given my other two plays that I was promised for joining the $1000 package nor was I ever given picks for the day on my voicemail as promised by my account rep Nick.

My calls to Nick only lead to me being put on hold and being answered by Bill Fritz to continue to try to upsell me.

Additionally, I was charged the initial $200 for the starter monthly package, in addition to another $1000 instead of the $800 agreed to for a total of $1200, not the agreed to total of $1000.

Because was not receiving the services promised to me by Nick, and have been excessively billed I am no longer interested in doing business with GWIN, or any of it's subdivisions, representatives, etc.

I called and faxed requests for a refund of my purchase price, only to be told that refunds were not given. I also faxed them and called them to tell them that I no longer wanted any phone calls to my home from GWIN, or any related companies and was immediately CALLED back to discuss my fax.

On numerous occasions I have simply told representatives from GWIN, that all I want is my money back and we will part as friends, but they refuse to refund. They did agree to refund me the $200 they overcharged me, and have, but will not refund the remaining $1,000.

Now, Nick calls me on a daily basis to leave picks, even after I faxed them saying I wanted no more phone calls.

I called them yesterday 8/23/06 with a bank customer service representative on the line and was once again told that refunds were not issued, but was told I would receive a call back from the billing supervisor that day. As of close of business today 8/25/06, I have still not been contacted by him, which is actually the first time GWIN has actually honored my request to not call me.

If and when a refund is processed, I will be sure to post the results here.
