1) called his YOUNG Chinese Receiptionist made appt for EYE EXAM
and READING GLASSES Cannot SEE COMPUTER PHONE ETC MY EYES ARE BAD I do not wear glasses but cannot see compter screen etc have ASTIGSTIMS (etc) BLURRY

2) she took my Medicare and Medi-CAL (Medicaid) Insurance card account numbers over the phone. (Note I went to this establishement over TEN YEARS ago; the other Chinese MD OD was great! He got me glasses FAST (READING GLASSES but he is DEAD and the REPLACEMENT IS AWFUL CON ARTIST SWITCH AND BAIT BUSINESS FINANCIAL FRAUD ( I am a Retired SIlicon Valley dot com era Startup CEO, Finanical, SEO, Solar Consultant for Elon Musk and work in tech online DAILY, and this was the most EMBARRASING FRAUDLENT experience I have had with any doctors office I can remember in my 32 years in San Francisco up from UCLA Engineering in Santa Monica CA and 20 years same place here in Hayes Valley.

3) I took my #SanFrancisco #PARATRANSIT #TAXI to their offices on Fillmore St @ Sutter near Japantown, only a few blocks from me. I elected to go there after 10 years as I am a disabled combat military veteran Americans With Disablites ACT certiifed LGBT protected class under state and federal laws and this medical pracitce has commited finnacial accounting #FRAUD.

ARRIVED on time, seated, the young Chinese receptiionist medical assitant photocopied my insuriance cards, Medicare and Medi-Cal (medicaid) cards, and State of CA Photo ID DMV. I was seated.
In a few minutes she told me to come with her and she tested me for 20 minutes on about 3 eye machines
She seated me thereafter in the waiting room. In a minute
Dr Terrance Chan OD came out of this room, invited me to have a seat
in his office adjacent, and I sat down.

He started testing my eyes with the eye chart I wished him Happy New Year in Chinese as I had a wonderful experience visiting Hong Kong in the 1970s during the Vietnam War (am a Wounded Warrior, Federal SDVOB Disabled Vet Contractor as well VA DOD certifed).
I speak a few words of Cantonese (Chinese) and was delighted to have a Chinese doctor!

I was SHOCKED after about 10 minutes with the DOC.....
he was in the middle to telling me about my new presrcitption
READING GLASSES (which the VA HOSPITAL TOLD ME WOULD TAKE SIX MONHTHS to get and I need glasses YESTERDAY I lost mine in a taxi black hole :)
The SF VA Medical Center is a joke for vets needing urgent care, and I had beein in the Communty non VA for years, So the DOC was ABOUT TO WRITE ME A PRESCRITPION when the Chinese young Medical Asst Front Desk Receptionist @ HAIGHT STREET EYE CARE ( Used to be in Upper Haight where I lived in the 80s and moved to Fillmore later close to me in HAyes Valley for years)

She came in and told the Doctor that My INSURANCE WAS NO GOOD!

I told her I only had Medi-Cal (Medicaid) and Medicare Part A when I called and it was her dute as an insurance billing CLERK to VERIFY my INSURANCE COMPLETLY BEFORE MY APPOITMENT SHE FAILED AND NEEDS TO BE TERMINATED

In Fact, The Practice needs to be INVESTIGATED BY THE STATE OF CA , THE FEDS, MEDICARE and MEDICAL FOR FINANCIAL FRAUD
ILLEGAL STATE OF CA AND FTC FEDS ILLEGAL MARKETING PRACTICES (like Ambulance chasing attorneys) WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FRAIL SENIORS the DISABLED AND ADA Cerified PARatansit DIsabled people of all ages I recommemnd you never ever contact them I am contacting the state and federal anti fraud authortiies after I am done with me client work as I am working poor diabeld under the medicard program and fell thru the SAFETY NET .

My Medicare Part A does NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING except a 2
weeks in the hopsital, not glasses READING GLASSES I was told.

Then Dr Terreance Chan told me I will have to Charge you $150 for this visit IF I WRITE YOU A READING GLASSES PRESRIPTION, WHICH HE DID NOT I HAD NO PAPER PRESRIPTION WHEN I LEFT EMBARASSED.

HE EMBARRASED A WOUNDED WARRIOR VIETNAM VET AND I WILL NOT NOT STAND FOR HIS FRAUD AND DECIT AGAINST THE THE DISABLED, SENIOR CITIZENS, MEDICARE AND MEDICARD CLEINTS OF THE STATE WHITE NO FUNDS TO PAY HIS HIGH FEES

HE DID IS WHAT IS CALLED BAIT AND SWITCH

IN FACT the reason I am upset and Filing the legal review and complaints with the state attorney generals office soon and the MEdicarre Faud hotline, DSS State of CA Fraud unit (FOLKS I have a lot work to do nad i do not need to be STRESSOUT OUT BY THIS MD! BUt in the itnerested of fairness I want them to respond I am turning them in to rhe cops ASAP

REAsoN FOR COMPLAINT DR TERRANCE CHAN HAIGHT STEET EYECARD Told me to go back to
the VA Hospital where my reading glasses for my astigtisim would be FREE
and then he stopped the exam and kicked me out there were other clients there and I will never ever recommend such and unprofessional medical practice to anyone like this@

I was billed $150 for this even which I will not pay I am filing a Better Business Bureau negative report, Google Maps, YELP, and FTC markeing Bait and Switch Fraud
