: I want to complain about the unethical behavior of the Hammerman & Hultgren, P.C. office.
In about march of 2001 I believe we needed a copier. We contacted Business Solutions of Arizona to buy one. So they brought one out, it was so old they could not get parts for it and we were in a business lease with it sitting waiting for parts. It never worked. We finally after about month and a half contacted them and wanted out of the lease. They explained that we were
stuck with the lease and that the only thing we could do was to go to a newer model.

So we had no choice, we either kept the non working machine or get the new one, either way we could not get out of the lease. We got the new machine and then it was so new that they could not get any supplies for
it and again it sat idle and we kept paying the lease. We then had some problems with our company and just were so frustrated with the copier situation that we just wanted it picked up.

I had talked to Kim Staundt at Business Solutions of Arizona, and she said that it was no problem since we
were having so many problems with it. I kept calling them asking, when are you picking it up finally after two or three months someone at Business Solutions of Arizona, said, "they do that if you break a lease to make the case look better. I finally called them about every half hour and bugged them until they came and picked it up.

Stanley Hammerman is now on the case and they have met with us and we even offered 5000.00 to settle it we have no money to pay the 24,000.00 they speak of for this 2000.00 copier, and they told us we were better off filing bankruptcy. They dismissed the thought of resolving this in an amicable way
that was even beyond fair.

Now they have their evil hands on our bank
account and have put a hold on 9000.00 of the funds that are the property of my mother in law and her sisters for the earnest money on a house. They are getting elderly and we wanted them nearby so that we could help them out in the future. We have 2 teenagers and cannot buy groceries for our family.

please look into this matter. We wanted it over but they are just out to kill us I think. We really want it resolved.Their receptionist will not talk
about anything but how we are supposedly not talking to them when we call. I can't figure them out. Here you call trying to work with them and she says
that you never called. We never knew that this was ongoing. Stanley Hammerman recommended bankruptcy last time we talked... We were never aware of anything going on like this or we would have been right on top of it.
So the garnishment was on and we filed to dispute it. The day before the hearing Hammerman & Hultgren went to the bank and told them that we had not responded and got the funds. They purgered themselves and defamed me with my bank. We had Desert Schools fcu put a stop payment on it and faxed the hearing confirmation to them as soon as we could get home.

At court we again tried to settle for 5000.00 which is more than fair, and Vincent said that because we complained that we were not on very good terms to negotiate a settlement. So now we have set another hearing date for next week.
Could you please,please help us?

The Maricopa County Bar Association is the governing body for attorneys in the Phoenix area. Detail your experience in writing and send it to them at: 303 E Palm Lane - Phoenix, Arizona 85004. They do not condone unethical behavior and can disbar attorneys who do so. Together, we as consumers, have power in numbers.

Hammerman's office

AUTHOR: Misty - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 28, 2004

Well, the company I work for happens to use Stanley Hammermans law office to collect on our past due accounts. I would have to say, from reading your complaint, that you should have taken actions to solve the matter with the company you got the equipment from before the situation escalated to this leve in the first place! It seems to me that you brought the problem on yourself by not following up and making sure you got equipment that worked, you were able to order supplies for and that suited the needs of your business. When we moved to a new location, we had all "new" copiers installed too and when we found out that some of them had 130,000 copies already run through them (we checked the digital history each copier held) we immediately demanded to get the NEW copies we paid for; not some used crap.

Mr. Hammerman's office pursues our most difficult to collect debts. You're best bet is to probably listen to what they have to say and pay up.
