I Hired Corey to install 3 flat screen TV's. he quotes me over the phone $89 per hour and said " 2-3 hours tops" I agree. He shows up with " his team" which he apparently hired the day before that didnt have a clue. One of them told me he was a recovering drug addict and wasnt sure if he was going to be around because he wasnt sure Corey would pay him. That should have been the first red flag. After 5 hours and his 3 guys , he didnt finish the job, Not only didnt they finish, they didnt even wire the TV's. He wanted $500 to mount 2 tv's to the wall! He agrees to come back the next day to finish the job at no additional charge. He never showed. meanwhile, the new guy he hired, quit the next day.

He is inexperienced and does not have the resources or the staff. If you are looking to move furniture, he can probably do that, if you have anything electrical or need finish carpentry, I suggest using someone else.

I was very careful to write a very honest review about my experience with handyman Advisors. i never once attacked him personally and EVERYTHING I SAID WAS ABSOLUTELY TRUE. He felt the need to attack me, my family, my businesses, etc.. all because he was upset he got a bad review. I hope anyone considering using him, really reads what he wrote about a customer that was clearly unhappy with his service. Personally, i have nothing against him, I just would never use him for anything, and i suggest nobody else does as well.

The truth about Andrew Rudnick 5301 N Federal Hwy Boca Raton

I am a married, father of three, hardworking business owner and I have owned 5 companies spanning 20 years. Never in my life have I had a negative review or a customer quite like this.

As the business owner, I’ll respond to this review by saying that everything this customer Andy Rudnick said is absolutely false, one-sided and ridiculous. As a human being I will tell you that people like Andy are what make doing an honest day’s work difficult and stressful.

This is actually an interesting story about how a self-proclaimed “Business Giant” successful Boca businessman decides to argue and threaten his way out of paying a small bill for services he received, then attempts to bully my staff into providing free services, threatening to call the police, then challenging me to a fist fight because he couldn’t get his way. When none of it works, the then vindictively goes on a smear campaign to attempt to ruin my business.

Yes, Andy Rudnick did follow through on his threats to lambaste me online…  He posted a review on every website he could find within 10 minutes of me leaving his office. It’s ok though, I’m ok with it. RipOffReport is great because it is one of the few review sites that he posted a negative review on that will allow me to post my full story. Granted the damage has already been done but for those of you that are considering hiring me or my company, understand that not only is he lying – but I went above and beyond to help him even after the horrendous experience with him.

I’m going to type up the full, truthful account of my experience with Andrew Rudnick so you can make up your own mind.




The story begins when I receive a call on New Year’s Day from Andrew Rudnick, who is interested in mounting 3 flat screen TV’s.

After a brief conversation, I told him it typically takes about an hour per TV and quoted him a rate of $89 per hour for ONE technician to provide the service. He agrees and I schedule the appointment for the following day which was a holiday January 2nd 2017.




The following day, we had back to back appointments, so to stay on schedule instead of only sending one technician, I arrive on time with myself and TWO additional technicians. (TWO PROFESSIONAL HANDYMEN and a LICENSED MASTER ELECTRICIAN)

The customer Andrew Rudnick (Owner of Global Doc Prep, a student loan forgiveness telemarketing room - located in “The GreenHouse” which is a notorious boiler room building) greets me and my technicians and explains that he wanted 3 flat screen TV’s mounted. Two were new, with new mounted, the other was an older TV with a used bracket.




Andy then proceeds to request ADDITIONAL work to be performed including mounting a security monitor which would be mount #4, running HD cable zigzagging across several rooms in approximately 3500 sq. ft. of office space.

He wanted his TWO cable boxes to be moved across the office with hidden wires and the actual boxes velcroid behind the TV’s. Then he decided he wanted to mount a 5th TV in the furthest conference room, about 1500 ft. away from the other TV’s. He also wanted a 6th flat screen connected to the system which was an older TV already flat mounted, it was a 60-inch behemoth that took 3 men to move. This was far more work than mounting 3 TV’s as we originally discussed. Mounting, hiding wires, rewiring, running cable and everything he wanted should take 3 experienced technicians about 12 hours, that is IF HE HAD THE CORRECT MATERIALS TO DO SO, WHICH HE DID NOT. Regardless of our booked schedule we explained that we would need additional materials and it would take longer than expected even with 3 technicians.




The first 90 minutes we were there, while my tech’s worked I had a hard time working myself because he talked nonstop about his past success. He boasted about his 5-million-dollar home in Boca, his lavish lifestyle, how he is the founder and owner of Matzo Ball parties all over the world. Most braggadocios was his chains of medical spas and how he made millions with them until the market crashed.  He told me a long story about how the drug Ketamine changed his life, and that he had an epiphany while he was on the drug about a new business that he built which coincidentally was launching that same day across the hall called KOP. Apparently, the horse tranquilizer ketamine is supposed to have amazing, life changing effects so he claims. I’m prefacing this conversation only because Andy had stated in his slanderous review that my employee was a recovering addict, which was the ONLY true fact in his review.  Yes, my employee was indeed a recovering drug addict, in fact he had just celebrated 2 years of sobriety the day prior and to me that is a wonderful thing because he turned his life around. He only knew that because my employee being a recovering addict chose not to stay in Andy’s private office while he talked about drugs.   

Back to the story…. Andy pitched me on his Ketamine business. He told me this awesome story about how his daughter was overweight, suicidal and hanging out with bad people and after his ketamine treatments she is now a singer and will be featured on the TV show the voice… HE showed me a video of her singing and talked and talked and talked…..  One interesting topic was about how he was able to get a dermatologist by the name of Laura Skellchock to invest a “large sum” into his new Ketamine business and was going to use her medical license to “FRONT” his new business…. This weird story was revealed how when she found out that Donald Trump won the presidency, she killed herself using KETAMINE… And even more coincidental it was the day the new ketamine business was opening…  Now that Laura is not around, he was able to talk a doctor across the hall in at 5301 N Federal to put his cocoon in his office and test out his ketamine business before he goes national…


Side Note – How would I know all of this private information? Because Andy told me….  This is a summary, there is much more I didnt include. 


He talked about how he hates financial services but is “in-between” careers, how he hates the laws, how he can’t seem to get through all the regulations, particularly the telemarketing laws. He talked about how he buys “DATA” which are lists of people that may have student loans so his boiler room can cold call them and try to sell them on the idea that he can erase their student loan debt. He talked about how he resells his data using his lead generation company as a front.


Unfortunately for Andy, what he didn’t realize is that I personally have 15 years’ experience in consumer law… I understand everything there is not know about call centers, telemarketing laws, what you can and cant do.... and moreover, that any post that goes up on RipoffReport cannot be removed. He knows full well that unsolicited calls are illegal. He also knows that the state attorney or FTC will shut him down if they get wind of it, or maybe he doesnt. Hes fairly new to the business and when we were talking I told him that the CFPB's new regulations are tightning, he didnt know what that meant so I told him a newly enacted agency called the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau shuts people down for doing what he is doing... 


This part is ironic because if you read his review of how he claims my employee was recovering drug addict, it appears he has some experience hiring people with addictions. He went on how all of his sales people are drug addicts. How he is DONE hiring in BOCA and DELRAY because the talent pool of salespeople are “disgusting humans” and how he wants to start recruiting coaches that can work in the office to hire and train people from their homes to do student loan consolidation and forgiveness. Honestly, I thought he was a nice guy at this point, quirky yes, but not a bad guy. He asked me personal questions, we talked about our kids, our families and wanted to know about my experience with financial services. What’s funny is that he even offered me a job recruiting for him! During this conversation AND AFTER OUR INITIAL VISIT when he was supposedly so disappointed. I’ll talk about that later.


So, after this long conversation told us to help ourselves to his fridge and said he’d be right back.




He made a run to Home Depot to purchase the materials needed and we immediately went to work.  

While he was gone, we made significant progress mounting most of the TV’s and running HD cable. During that time, I found that one of the TV mounts did not match the TV and could not be mounted so I called him to let him know he needed an additional mount if he wanted it mounted.

This is where he flipped.




Andy became agitated and began complaining of the cost. He mentioned several times how “we are north $500 and he needs it done!”

I explained that his mount not fitting the TV is not our fault and he insisted it was. The conversation went nowhere. After a few minutes of him kvetching over the costs he was incurring I explained further that we would need molding to cover the wires and that did not sit well with him. I told him to speak to our licensed electrician CJ and gave him CJ’s phone number who was working beside me. A few moment later I can hear CJ telling Andy to stop cursing at him multiple times. As the call continued, CJ continued to tell Andy in a calm professional voice that it is not appropriate to speak to him in that way and to stop cursing. Eventually I took the phone from CJ and asked Andy what the problem was, and I caught an earful again of him complaining about the cost. I told Andy that we were 5 hours into the job and we had other appointments and to get back to the office soon so we can schedule a time to return.




About an hour later Andy shows up and he is visibly upset. We discuss the work that was done and explained we would be happy to come back when he had the correct materials to complete the job.

He said he didn’t want to pay Home depot $70 for a cable so he ordered it on Amazon and it would be here on Thursday January 5th.

Before I told him the total, he then began complaining AGAIN of the cost and insisted he had the correct TV mount for the one TV we were unable to mount. Already late for our next two jobs, we spent an additional 30 minutes discussing the mount and it was obvious the mount did not fit. Finally, I had had enough of his whining about everything I politely asked him for payment. Keep in mind, it was not 6 hours into the job. Three technicians, total cost was only $445 and….. Does he just pay us like he should?




Of course, he refused to pay. I explained that ONE technician is $89 per hour, we brought THREE technicians and we were only charging him for ONE. After he complained some more, now nearly 6.5 hours later, I told him that in good faith I will not only stop the clock at 5 hours, but I would return and complete the job at no additional cost. Surprisingly, he still refused to pay the $445 he owed us. Eventually after a long drawn out cry fest, he said he would give me $225 now and the rest when we complete the job. This was unacceptable to me. I explained that my technicians time cost me more then what he is paying. He complained and argued… Then he complained and whined some more….

Eventually, I felt like I was talking to a toddler and understood I was getting nowhere. Reluctantly, I agreed to return when his Amazon order arrived so we had the correct materials to complete the job.




*** PART TWO ***


Over the next several days, I receive numerous bizarre text messages. One of the being “Hi Cory – please don’t be a hater – I will pay u tomorrow or Thursday”

This confirmed my suspicion that it’s not that he didn’t want to pay me, it’s that he didn’t actually have the money to pay me.

In Friday January 6th, he texting me stating he received the new TV mount (ONE THAT ACTUALLY FITS HIS TV THAT HE PREVIOUSLY INSISTED WAS THE RIGHT MOUNT) and wanted us to come back. I told him we will be back the following Tuesday.

He complained some more about the cost of the TV mount and molding he had to buy and began questioning my ethics about what type of operation and I’m running. Very inappropriate and weird.

Then there was more text complaining from him… It just sorta went on for days. He continually reminded me of our appointment.





Tuesday January 10th, we arrive at 10:00 on the dot as promised with myself, another technician and a licensed Electrician.

We make our way through the greenhouse, up the elevator and to Andys office where he greets us with a sarcastic, snotty attitude. Asking us if we have qualified workers. Again bitching about the $225 he spent on TV’s that are not operational… I held my tongue and went to work. Our electrician Nathan split off and began working on a TV in the main office room where all the cubicles are and Cameron and I went into Andy’s private office to work on the TV in this office. He showed us that he had bought a new mount to replace the mount he previously insisted was the correct one and showed us the materials he so graciously purchased.





As we began working, Andy stood over us making snide comments and complaining. This continue for about 10 minutes until I finally had enough.

I told him that if he is going to continue to complain and make rude comments, were not going to do anything else for him. I reminded him that not only did he NOT pay us for the work we did on the last visit but that we are working for FREE. I told Andy that if he says one more nasty comment, we are leaving.

His response was exactly what I expected from him. He forcefully told me that If I don’t finish the job, he will call the police. I laughed and told him to go ahead, call the police. He actually picked up the phone and dialed 911 or at least pretended to until eventually hanging up. This is where it got ugly.

I told Cameron and Nathan to pack up our tools and were leaving. Andy immediately told me that if we leave, he is going to lambaste my company all over the internet. My response was “go ahead, you have a lot more to lose then me” Maybe I was wrong, he will find out.

What happens next is pretty funny- actually.

Andy then instructs my Cameron to leave the room so he could “fight” me. (You can’t make this stuff up… ) this guy, about a foot shorter then me and 15 years older tells me that we are going to physically fight in his office. Again, I laughed because my partner next to me is 6’5” and solid muscle. I told Andy that if we’re going to fight, its all of us. Of course, I didn’t want any trouble. I simply wanted to be paid for my time and work. He instructed Cameron to leave the room  again so he could fight me fairly… I asked him if he was afraid of Cameron, and he said yes, I’m afraid of Cameron but not of you. We had a few more choice words and proceeded to leave. His last words to me were “You _ ucking assholes, you are nothing, you have no idea who I am and what I am capable of.”



*** On my way down the elevator I messaged him this exact text: ***

“This will be my last communication with you. I would think twice about posting any reviews like you threatened. Will end up being far more trouble than its worth for both parties. Sorry we had to argue, honestly neither of us benefitted from what happened so we should just call it even and move on with our days”


His response:



You would think that after not having to pay his bill he would just let it go…. But no.. He wanted to prove his power over the little guy.


Guess what Andy, I usually put things in the rearview mirror and forget about them, but I made an exception for you. Posting this review on every site you could find was despicable. I hope that for many years to come anyone that wants to know more about ANDREW RUDNICK will find this and think twice.


So, there you have it…  The true and bizarre story of my experience with Andrew Rudnick of Boca.


*** What lessons did I learn from this experience? ***

  • Always get a signed work order/contract or you may be working for free.
  • People that look like they have money don’t always have money.
  • Don’t divulge too much information, because it can be used against you.

I spent about 2 hours writing this and about an 45 minutes googling Andy, far too much time and energy wasted on him. I have a feeling he is not going to be too happy with all of this inside information being posted so I filed a police report today. I will be taking him to small claims court as well for his unpaid balance.
