A little over two years ago I went to Hare Chevrolet with my daughter because they were purchasing a vehicle from this dealership.  I was speaking to the salesman and informed him that I would love to trade my 2001 Warner Brothers Venture Van in for a more dependable vehicle.  But, due to being pulled into a bankruptcy filed by my Ex-Husband I put it out of my head ever getting a loan for a vehicle for at least 7 years.  He talked me into applying and assured me they could get me approved.  They did via Autotrakk.  I was given the choice between two Chevy Aveo.  Its a strip down stock car with no power windows, door locks or anything extra.  It wasn't my first choice, but considering my credit history and being told that getting this loan would significantly increase my credit score, I did it.  They took my paid off van as a $1000 down payment and assured me that I would be able to trade it in after making payments for 1 year.  After having the vehicle for 1 month it stalled on me and wouldn't start.  I contacted them and they told me they couldn't help me.  Thankfully, Pedigo Chevrolet in my home town towed the vehicle to their shop and found that the whole top half of the engine was bad.  They stated "this care should have never been sold to you.  It's a lemon"  The vehicle has been nothing but trouble since I purchased it.  Hare's manager said there was nothing they would or could do to help me since I signed the paperwork. 

Now I am trying to trade it in, only to find out I still owe over $13000K on it after paying on it for over 2 years.  They said it's a lease and I cannot break it.  They sent me the "lease" contract, which I was told I was getting a loan for 5 years - not a lease!  I was rushed in and out of their finance department due to it being closing time.  By the time this "lease" is done and 260 payment later I will have paid $22478.50 and if I want to OWN it I have to pay $3588.25 or give the car back. 

I AM SCREWED ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!!  I am considering filing bankruptcy again just to get out from under this MESS!  Hare Cheverolet took advantage of a Single Woman and REFUSED to help when needed!
