Hartford Insurance Denial Of FMLA Bloomington Minnesota

I work as an adjuster for AIG Insurance. My mother was involved in a motorvehicle accident and was air lifted to a trauma center where she underwent repair of an open fx of her left ankle. She was hospitalized 8 days and in ICU 3 . I live in AR, my mother is a 79 year old widow in Fl. I filed my FMLA papers and faxed to her admitting dr as given by the hospital.

I went to care for my mother and thought everything was fine until 30 days later AIG called and stated Hartford had denied my FMLA. I refaxed forms to my my moms orthopedic surgeon same day. I called Hartford and they stated they did receive them but since they were late I needed the dr to fax over a statement that the medical was received late due to miscommunication. After a week, Hartford still denied my FMLA, since I was unable to leave my mother , who was unable to walk, I was terminated from AIG.
