I was recruited to put ads on various sites and answer the emails generated by those ads.   I had a series of canned emails that was to direct these people to getting to be "sales" for HRM.   In the call I had to listen to, various promises were made.

1.  If I enrolled in Legal Shield, I would receive $200 per recruit.

2.  I would not have to wait, it would happen immediately.

3.  For each recruit, I would receive $15.00 for every sale of legal shield my recruit made.   Essentially, I could work for three years then retire and live off the residuals.

4.  I could access the site and see how much each of my recruits were selling at all times.

5.  My commission would be put into my bank account each day.

I have worked for almost 2 months and have, to date, received nothing but snide remarks.  I was told if I am so bad off, I should seek government assistance.

A.  I have recuited 6 people.   I have received $100 per paypal and was told it was from bosses own pocket.

B.  I was told I had to wait until these people "qualify".   Every day there is a new excuse.

C.  I cannot access the site at all.

D.  I cannot get the money owed to me at all, let alone the commission on the recruit's sale.

Please,  please don't fall for this scam.    I put in 20 ads per day and answered 10 resumes, at one time over 100 resumes, each day online.   I have five poor people in my que right now that I need to tell this is all a lie.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Had a similar experience

AUTHOR: alexnasatka - ()

POSTED: Thursday, October 30, 2014

I signed up to be a virtual recruiter about a month ago. I was put through the same type of call and guaranteed a bunch of benefits which never showed up, all of which were similar to the ones of the orignal poster's.

Everything seemed to be going fine at first, recieved a folder with training material, recieved a corporate e-mail, posted ads, and generated some leads. Then things started to get fishy.

I tried responding to applications from the ads that I posted on ad sites such as Craigslist through my new corporate email, but never got replies. So I tried my personal e-mail and a backup one, both of which successfully sent e-mails to a lead I had. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I just thought it was a technical issue from when I set up the corporate e-mail.

I sent an e-mail from one of my working accounts (which were personal emails) to my supervisor to notify them that my email was not sending emails that I wanted to go out. I was met with no reply, even after numerous emails from different accounts at different times. Still no reply as of almost 2 weeks later.

I'm concerned about the Legalshield plan that I purchased (which is about $40/month) which is linked to my employment at the company. Since I'm not able to send emails from my corporate email account, nor am I getting any response from 5 different people that I tried contacting, I have no way of cancelling my plan (which is set up to automatically deduct from my checking account each month).

I'm probably going to have to contact my bank as I see it as the only way to arbitrate my way out of this whole mess.

All I have to say is, AVOID HARVARD RISK MANAGEMENT WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT!
