Hawaiian Moving appears to be a shell company or is the same company as Eden Relocation Inc. Hawaiian Moving gave me a quote for my move to Hawaii that included an extra $2,000 in order to move a safe from the mainland to our home in Hawaii. They were suppose to move the safe into our home and failed to do so.

Nicole is Hawaiian Moving's Relocation Specialist and told me she would get someone to move our safe into our home. This never happened at least through her company or Eden Relocation, Inc. The safe was wrapped in moving blankets and was unloaded in to our open garage port in Hawaii. The mover didn't bring the correct moving dolly in order to move it into our home. Nicole kept telling me for well over a month that she would handle this, but it never happened. Now after I've asked her to pay monies back to me as Hawaiian Moving failed to fulfill their contract terms and she has now told me that Eden Relocation, Inc. is responsible for honoring the contract terms, not Hawaiian Moving.

I filed a complaint with the BBB last month regarding Eden Relocation, Inc. moving practices and lack thereof of Eden's moving practices. Eden responded with a statement saying that they were assisting me with my insurance claim. I had purchased full replacement value insurance on our household goods. However, the insurance company is not responsible for reimbursement of Eden's or Hawaiian Moving's failure to complete my move-in process. I had to pay someone else to move this safe into my home. So, I paid twice for the same service. I also paid for an unpack service and didn't receive this service either and I am seeking reimbursement for this as well.

The company that Hawaiian suggested to use in their printed moving quote was movinginsurance.com. Upon reading the fine print, it's clear that they'll not reimburse for items that were not packed correctly. MovingInsurance.com or dba Relocation Insurance, Group, Inc. also states on their website that [it] "prides itself on including only quality movers in its network. Every moving company is monitored daily and ranked internally, to ensure we provide you the best coverage with the lowest risk possible." Is this a joke?

Eden Relocation, Inc. brought brown wrapping paper, tape rollers and mostly wardrobe boxes. Thankfully, I had bubble wrap on hand or more of our household items would have been broken. I wonder if the moving insurance company has seen the reviews/complaints about Eden Relocation, Inc. on moving websites and with the BBB? Or is this a matter of complicity?

Is Relocation Insurance Group taking customers money knowing full well by the bevy of complaints registered against Eden Relocation, Inc. online that they rarely pack items as specified via under any insurance companies policies terms. They didn't even bring the right boxes to pack up a home or for in state move let alone an overseas move. Eden failed to bring any type of a mattress boxs to move our expensive Temperpedic mattress. Therefore, my choice on our moving day was to leave the mattress behind or have them pack it and hope for the best. Once Eden placed this mattress in the Enterprise rental truck (yes, I said a rental truck) these highly trained movers apparently folded it in half and used shrink wrap to hold it together in this position for 4 weeks, thereby breaking the spine of the mattress. They packed heavy tool boxes inside a brand new chest freezer and broke the motor. Again, no insurance reimbursement will be forth coming because they packed everything in a haphazzard manner and/or packed items incorrectly.

I'm not sure how Relocation Insurance Group, Inc. has remained blissfully in the dark or unaware of the shady business and packing practices by Hawaiian Moving and Eden Relocation, Inc. I find it hard to believe that any insurance company would consider Eden Relocation, Inc. as a top rated moving company, especially when they claim they monitor their moving companies daily. It's taken my husband and I over 2-months to put together a list of all our broken, damaged and misplaced and/or stolen property. One does have to wonder about all of the aforementioned businesses, both together and as separate business entities'. It just doesn't look good from a legal perspective. Hawaiian Moving claims to maintain a 5-star BBB rating and yet they're not even a member of the BBB. Has Hawaiian Moving not heard of truth in advertising?
