I was not surprised in the least when I googled HC Processing Center of Springdale Arkansas and a whole host of complaints popped up. I too am a victim of their sinister ways.
I p
urchased a tread climber from Nautilus in March of 2008. I was wary of buying on a payment plan but was sure I could plan well and pay it off quickly.

I received my first bill in April and made a payment of $100 instead of the $54 that was requested. To make it easier and more efficient for everyone I set up an online payment schedule using my bank. Every month I made a $100 payment when the statement would arrive. Eight months later I was well on my way to having it all but paid off. This past week I received a statement and decided to open it up to see my balance which should have been around $900. To my horror, the balance was over $1300 and they had jacked the interest rate up to an impossible 25.99% and informed me that they had also charged me a delinquent charge of 39.00. After almost passing out I realized it had to be a mistake so I called the 888 number on my statement.

I spoke to the first "customer service" person who listened to my plight and told me that after reviewing my file, that I had paid "too early" on my account thus missing the window of the billing cycle which earned me a delinquent charge plus raising the interest rate. I explained that I have not missed a payment, in fact paid twice in October and have paid a total of $800 instead of the $432 that I had been billed for. I was a great customer, I should be rewarded! That felt on not only deaf ears but also insensitive ears and ears that have been trained to ignore even the worse case scenarios of an 84 year old man that is paying for a bed that has never worked for a wife who is dying of cancer. Sorry.........they don't care.

I asked to speak to a supervisor who I will call Alex, because his name is Alex. Alex was the most vile human being I have ever had the misfortune of talking to. He was heartless, mean and seriously evil. He hung up on me when he was finished dashing any hope I had of being treated decently.

I would be willing to go on 60 minutes or 20/20 or any other media that would be willing to take these people down.

This sums up why there is an economic disaster in this country because the government has allowed legalized loan sharking. If there is anyone that can help change this unjust practice please contact me and I will do my part.
