HC PROCESSING CREDIT CENTER CREDIT RIPOFF, NEVER A $0 BALANCE, NEW CHARGES, NOT IN CONTRACT SPRINGDALE Arkansas

I was referred to this company through ICON Fitness, or Nordic Trac. I paid off my account in November. In March of this year, I suddenly get a bill for a $39 annual fee. I looked at my contract and no annual fee is listed. I asked the person who answered the phone, why they wanted me to pay for something that was not on the contract. She said it was not in effect when I made my purchase. They had "decided" to start charging this annual fee and sent out a mailer with the bills. I also asked why I had not received a statement showing credit available, since I had paid off my account, if I still had a contractual obligation. She said it was a credit card and you don't get statements when you don't owe anything. As you can see, this conversation was going nowhere.

In short, it is not a line of credit they are giving you, they think it is a credit card. They do not honor their contract and add on charges whenever they want. The statement actually says "If your account is closed by you or us, we will continue to charge the annual fee each year until you pay your outstanding balance in full, which will terminate your account relationship." However, if you do pay your balance in full, they do not terminate your account relationship. Sounds like credit double talk to me.
