I was giving myself my own extreme makeover, weight loss, teeth and of course hair. My initial consultation with hcm was a consultant running her witchy fingers through my hair and telling me a "bio-matrix" would be my best solution. I was experiencing thinning hair due to a malabsorption (weight loss) surgery I had undergone. I was led to believe this system would cost 1800.00 and aprox. 100.00 a salon visit to get serviced + products.

My first system that was given to me was to large for my head and basically in so many words was told that I would half to deal with it and eventually it would soften up and fit. By chance through a friend in the hair service industry, I met a National Field Rep who worked for HCM and was also a client who examined my matrix and was appalled that I had walked away with such shoddy workmanship. He showed up at my next appt. and measured me correctly and got me the correct size for my head.

Everything went well until my hair started falling out and the matrix ripped months later. I was then notified by the stylist that you had to sign up for a program that the hair does not last, and it was like a gym membership. Well, HAPPY to have hair again, but a little disgrunteled by the deceptive sales practices, I went ahead and signed up for the "BRONZE" package which was 299.00 a month plus products. I was told they were going to order me new hair, and in 4 weeks I would have the replacement for the matrix that was falling apart.

After 2months, with contacting the office being transferred and no one being able to tell me where the hair was, I was terminated from my job. I wanted to cancel the service and was directed to corporate offices in Florida and was directed to the regional manager "Grant" who finally returned my call and basically stated he would have to research to see if thy were out any money before they could help me. Then, after no responses I called corporate and threatened to do exactly what I am starting today.

Then "Miraculously" the Phoenix office calls, my hair has been there over a month, does not understand why no one was able to help me, and my calls were never returned. They invited me into the office to discuss the matter, and as an act of good will, offered to replace the falling apart matrix, suspend the charging to my account until I was sucessfully re-employed and I was to contact "Josh" The Office manager, and we would resume the program right where we left off, he shook my hand and was over apologetic, and asked me to retain my business.

The Stylist advised me, that office has had several complaints about the deceptive sales practices, and she and a few other stylist were going to leave and start their own similar business and advised me to follow up to make sure that "Josh" kept his word, I did and I was assured that everything was in motion. Well today I finally started recieving my unemployment payments, but HCM took the 299.00 out causing my account to overdraft, and will cause other payments for basic living neccessities to bounce causing fee's etc..

Of course their office is closed on Mondays, so again I contacted corporate in Florida advised them this time I will start reporting this to consumer advocacy groups, BBB, Attorney General, etc., they begged me to hold tight, but I decided I was not willing to sit around and occur fees, battle with the bank, file claims etc. while they decide if they are going to do something or not.

I am going to start telling my story now hopefully in getting some assistance, and to prevent others from doing business with this "DECEPTIVE, NON-MORALISTIC, MONEY HUNGRY CORPORATION" That plays on peoples inecurities for profit. "BEWARE!!!!" p.s. the consultant who began this process her name is "Dawn Little"

HAIR CLUB RIP-OFF

AUTHOR: BERNICE - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, November 17, 2012

Brian I know what you mean and how you feel.  I am also a victum of HCM but I refused to sign any further contracts for their hair care plans.  I paid them $2000, did not get what the initial contract stated and what I expected, I was not going to give any more money.

I am sorry that you, me, and others fail subject to these people.  It should be a law that when such things occur, someone(s) need to be placed in jail.  I just wish I had reviewed the RIP OFF reports before I went to them   I have reported them to the BBB also I have an article on RIP OFF reports concerning them.

I am willing to participate in a class-action law suit if anyone is interested.

With large companies you loose out on quality

AUTHOR: David Hansen - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, May 21, 2011

My name is David Hansen and I have been in the hair replacement business for over 50 years and I cannot stress this enough when it comes to this business it is better to go to local small businesses. With large corporations you loose quality. You want to find a local expert in this field who has love and passion for what they do. These people will care about you on a more personal level and will try their best to satisfy you so that you come back to them in the future. With large corporations your just another fish in the sea. Also take your time and research the person see their work, their credentials, and how long they have been in the hair replacement business. You want someone with knowledge and experience working on your hair. There is not a lot of us out there but we do exist. Best of luck to you and if you have any questions about hair replacement you can email me at (((ROR REDACTED))) or visit my website and it has my phone number and skype name on it.  Sincerely David Hansen.
