HDI*Simple Escapes2 Faudulent VISA charge for $99.95 by company with many names and connections Harrisburg Pennsylvania

A charge of $99.95, by HDI*Simple Escapes2, dated March 11, 2004, appeared on my Visa bill.

I called the 800 number that showed up on my VISA statement; Tonja, who answered, requested my address and name, and told me that, along with a catalogue purchase, I had requested some sort of 'travel & dining' membership which had a 30-day trial period.

I told her that was false, because I did not use that particular card for catalogue purchases and had not even used the card at all for some time.

She told me that she would see that the charge was reversed and that it should show up within 2 days.

FYI, I called both my VISA company to dispute the charge and let them know of my discussion with Tonja. Too, I called the Federal Trade Commission (1-877-382-4357) to record a complaint. Please do so, too.

An internet search for HDI*Simple Escapes2 brought up information showing that there are other company name associations: MWI Simple Escapes, HDI Connections, MWI Essentials, MWI Homeworks, Improvements Catalogue, Member Works, DealPass.com....and the web searches show many others who have been scammed!
