    Hearst Magazines tricked me into a 1 year subscription to Popular Mechanics. On a sweepstakes

promotion run by Popular Mechanics on Sept. 14, 2016, I clicked on an agreement to get one

free trial issue of Popular Mechanics. Below this agree button, I had not read a "fine print" clause

that said by clicking the 1 free issue button, they would then automatically send me 12 issues

of Popular Mechanics, and bill me for it. They also sent me an email informing me that I had

signed up for a one year subscription (a lie and a trick!). Also, I am unable to cancel this

one year subscription until after 4-6 weeks, after they have "Processed the subscription". 

This type of tricky, deceptive, underhanded, unethical sales should be stopped - it is as 

frustrating and unethical as those automatic subscription renewals that rip off millions

of consumers. I entered no credit card information, so I hope they don't have access to my current

credit card, somehow.
