After posting a free profile on this site, I noticed the responses piling up in my inbox (none of them readable, of course, until you pay to join). So I joined and after about 3 weeks knew I'd been played a fool. I never received one response from any of the ladies who had seemed so eager to talk. The letters stopped coming in the moment my credit card was charged.

Knowing that I had waisted $24.95, I then jumped through the hoops and completed the process of cancelling my membership. No big deal. Knowing that I had been mislead into waisting my energy searching for a life partner amongst outdated (and most likely falsified) profiles...made me furious.

Seeking the only recourse I thought possible at the time, I used my own profile's essay to post the true nature of HeartDetectives "services". Finding it replaced by a cutesy plagiarism the next day, I demanded a refund of my money, and warned that further action would be taken if a refund was not received. In response, my profile was promptly deleted, and my home IP address blocked so I no longer have access to the site. I have received no refund.

Luckily I had saved an email message from HeartDetectives reguarding my password. Tracking the IP address from that message yeilded the Domain registrant as Peter Erickson of Robbinsdale MN, and his company Texpo, Inc. Hello Pete. Now myself and many others you've ripped off know where you live.
