Heartford Group, Inc. - Homestyle Trust, Inc. Reading reports on this site I have discovered that I am being scammed by Heartford Group, Inc. which I discovered was recently called Homestyle Trust, Inc. NEW YORK New York

Heartford Group, Inc. sent a letter to my home. They said I had won a home improvement grant of $39,000.00 and it was deposited into an escrow account pending claim. They sent me a check for $3,960.00.

To activate it I had to call their phone number 1-289-892-3713...between hrs. 8:30-10:00pm est. time...Mon-Sat...I called it and and the phone was answered by a young woman who identified herself as Carmen Sloan. I could either talk to her or Fred Johnson to activate my check. I was given instructions to file a form to send money to an agent after i got my 3k cashed.

Well I went to the bank to cash the check after I had talked to the lady and the bank told me that it was a fake. I then came home (sorely) (I was planning to make a down payment on a home) and researched the company online. They seemed nonexistant. The bank (which I had previously researched) that the check seemed to come from however, was real...TCF National Bank. Although the address was wrong.

I then typed Carmen Sloan in and i came to the ripoffreport site. Which is when I learned it was a definite scam and that they had changed the name they went by to Heartford Group, Inc. This is a scam and their new name. Please don't fall for it. Thanks to my local bank I did not and thanks to this website I know for sure. Thank you ripoffreport.com!!!
