Heat Siphon Product Does not perform as advertised Latrobe Pennsylvania

Looking for options to install a heater for my pool I found Heat Siphon, advertising efrficient heating at a lower cost than gas heaters. I called them and was assured that the product would perform as a dvertised. After reading all the wonderful reviews that they publish in their web site and talking to their Sales Manager more than once, I made the mistake of buying one.

I've had it for a couple of years now and could not be more disatisfied. It only works if the outside temperature is above 75F and it only heats the poolo water at a ration of 0.5F per hour. I even called to complain that something might be wrong with my unit and received an email with lots of charts and explanations over the temperature raise and perfomrance to check against the performance of my heater and provide feedback. I do nothave all the equipent that is necessary to validate the charts and Heat Siphon did not show any interest in trying to help me further - after all they had made the sale already.

Today, 11/24/17 the weather in Dallas reached 77F while my pool is at 69F in spite of havin the heater on for over 30 hours. It is a waste of electrivity and money. I was assured that I'd get a temperature of 85F for the pool as long as the outside temperature was in the mit 70s. Well, I don't get what I was told I would.

I hope I can make as many people who are considering a Heat Siphon aware of how poor the results are and to strongly consider your options. Lastly, here is what I was told by an installer who I called to give me and estimate to install a pool heater when I told him that I was considering the Heat Siphon: "If that is your choice, please find another installer. It will not work to your satisfaction and I don't want to be considered as the responsible for a job not well done. It will not work!" Should have listened to the installer
