Hegira Programs, Inc (HPI) (Oakdale Recovery Center) Incompetent; Improper Medicine Dispensing; Poor Facility Security; Lack of Psychiatric/Psychological Health Care Canton Michigan

My daughter was here one week and we pulled her out in utter disatisfaction ! She was dangerously overmedicated by certain staff; the psych med regimen perscribed by her outside professionals was disregarded and changed in the wrong amounts. The facility has some very poor health conditions where ants and spiders infest. Garbage containers are never disinfected. The rehab center policy demands that the patients submit all personal property such as purses, wallets and all deemed "improper" on site materials. After my daughter's submission we found that her wallets and other items were missing. Staff members claim she signed a release stating she received said items back when she left. Of course they forget she was released while incoherent and under the influence of 200mg of Visteril, when proper top dosage is 100mg. So the faith and trust that there is an accountable security system for the facility is either in effective, non existent, or poorly managed. Group therapy was deemed in effective with very little rehab skills or education lacking. Two patient suicides occured on the day I picked up my daughter. The idea that you can receive a rehab plan to help you fight this disease does not exist in an effective format. I will be filing reports to the placement organization and the state of Michigan who fund this poor excuse for a healthcare facility. My daughter is now safe. I have a very heartfelt concern for the patients who are left "warehoused", medicated for control, and have no one as an advocate. I would challenge this organization validate the metrics used to manage the quality effectiveness of therpeutic success, the assurance that systems are in place to protect the patients from improper medication, and that sufficient time spent with patients by psychiatric / psychological therapists exist!
