When I took my 95 Windstar van to Heisley Tire & Brake Inc. for brake problems I was told they would hook the vehicle up to the computer to verify what the problem is for sure. They did not hook up the computer like they said. They took the van for a test drive first and as soon as they returned put the van on the lift and came to get me to look at the van together. The owner of the company told me the right axle was damaged and needed to be replaced. I asked him if this was the problem or not and he assured me it was definatly the problem. Well aftwer spending all day at his shop he informed me he got a bad part and he could not finish the van that day that I would have to leave the van and pick it up the next day. The next day the owner called me to pick the van up and while talking to him he says the axle i payed $253.80 for was not the problem and that now I needed some more parts and more money to fix the original problem. I reported him to the Better Business Bureau and he responded that he was not going to do anything for me or try to settle the dispute.

We Value All Our Customers and try to treat them with all highest level of repair skills that our Tech Schools has to offer On Mikes 95 FORD Windstar it came with A.B.S Brakes with a four wheel sensor system.And on Mikes 95 Windstar the A.B.S. relutor ring was cracked on the drive axle so the you have to replace the axle first and we explained to Mike that he might have to replace the A.B.S. Sensor we showed him the axle and sensor and showed how the diagnostic scanner reads the information he thought we should pay for the A.B.S. sensor and we believe that is why this report was written. They are a rip off

So I go to the shop car breaks down I let them know what's going on and what I think it might be 2 days later they called me I need a new transmission I said are you sure they said yeah we've tested everything and it's your transmission its shot I said okay please put me up an estimate but please check again because I think it might be one or two other things and not the transmission no it's the transmission we know we tested everything you need a new transmission it'll be about $1,800 so I say okay thank you I take the car the next day and I take it to a specific transmission shop the transmission shop drives it around for 2 days and calls me and says yeah all you need is a new alternator your transmission is fine I think this is very unacceptable that the other business was trying to steal $1,800 from me and I believe that they should install a new alternator that I purchased already for free for me actually called to speak to a manager and I asked him so what would happen if you put a new transmission in my car for $1,800 and then it still didn't work and then come to find out it was an alternator would you give me my $1,800 for free or would you have lied to me put an alternator in at your cost without letting me know it was the alternator to cover your mistake in the person the manager had no comment I actually called to speak to a manager and I asked them so what would have happened if you put a new transmission in my car for $1,800 and then it still didn't work and then come to find out it was an alternator would you give me my $1,800 for free or would you have lied to me put an alternator in at your cost without letting me know was the alternator to cover your mistake and the person the manager had no comment I believe his was Eddie

Heisley Tire nothing but good

Mike, im glad you responded but Heisley Tire & Brake is not a rip off i too have many friends there and they are all good people. The owner is not a liar like you make him out to be. He is a very honest and descent person as is the rest of the employees there. Yes it is a shame this has lost your friendship with this certain worker but often people complain to much about nothing and that is what i think you are doing. To try and tell people that Heisley Tire is a rip off is nothing but a lie. i cant stress enough how hard everyone works there to make certain every customer is happy, comfortable, and satisfied. in your case you were not satisfied but no one is perfect. the owner works very hard as does everyone else at his shop and i give them a lot of credit for what they do. i would never think of taking my buisness anywhere but there, because no other companies compare. you can not ask for a better environment as for a better staff than is offered at Heisley tire & brake.

Leslie in your rebuutal letter you say with your own words that Heisley tire & brake sometimes loses money to help people. I am certain that you are not for real when you say that. Think about what you are saying when you say a company stays in business by giving away free help. Also I have a very good friend who works for Heisley tire and brake to this day and this rip off report and complaints I have made have caused alot of problems in our friendship. Do you honestly think I would go this much trouble and lose a friend for a false report? I have no reason to lie or cause problems to this company for fun. Heisley Tire & Brake is a rip off company period.

Scam of Heisley turns out not to be a scam at all

Mike of mentor i think that you have blown this whole thing way out of proportion. I am a customer of Heisley Tire & Brake also. The facility there is wonderful. The mechanics as well as the counter person are extremely nice and do their best to make sure every customer is comfortable and happy. The owner of the shop is the friendliest and most generous person i have ever met. Not to mention he would NEVER scam anyone if anything he loses money while helping people. He goes out of his way to make sure people are happy and he does not do this for the money but simply because he is a kind person. to me it sounds like your car need a lot of work and you didnt want to pay so instead you decided to scam Heisley Tire. Your letter was rude and more than anything was all lies.
