It is a very unfortunate that this person lost their pet and we understand that when people are worried or grieving, it's easy to want to blame someone.
Helpmefindmypet has been helping pet parents since 2004 and this is the
only complaint we've ever had filed. Helpmefindmypet was set up to be a proactive way of
finding lost and stolen pets. Over 90% of our customers are signed up for
our service before their pet is ever missing. That was not the case with this individual.
What we find unfortunate is that this person neglected to include the other 5 email exchanges we had with him. We never asked for him to only trust us. In fact, once he provided us with his zip code, we supplied the amount of pet professionals that would be notified within a 25 mile radius of where his pet was last seen and the amount of members as well.
We used to provide exact information as to which pet
professionals would receive the alerts both verbally, through our call center,
and through our site until individuals used the information to solicit various products and services.
We
are the first and largest company to offer an alert service for pets in North
America and have been very successful in reuniting pets with their
families. We are staffed with poeple that genuinely care and we treat every case as if it were our own pet.
