I answered an ad off TV for a work at home business. I was sent a DVD for $9.90 that praised this company that was growing rapidly and to get in NOW while things are HOT!!
Then a representative called and talked me into watching the secret section on the DVD and set a follow up appt. They actually have one of thier Millionaire Team Members call you and tell you how easy it is to get started and the time is now.
They push you to train, which I did nonstop with conference calls and internet training, and workbooks. At no time did they say you would need to pay to set up websites, special phone lines, charge accounts etc. All they said was buy the international business pak and everything is explained and included.
I checked with the BBB and they gave a favorable report, after I finally found out it was Herbalife. I figured Herbalife's been around a long time so it must be a wise decision.
They push you to use a charge card to order the supervisor product inventory, because you'll be able to pay it off with $1700.00 profit in 1 month. I told them we were financially strapped because we are Hurricaine Katrina victims and don't have access to DSL or cable internet. NO PROBLEM!
Of course they wanted me to call back when I had funds in place since they knew I would be able to make a good living from home. The SBA gave us a business loan because of the Hurricaine, Now I'm stuck with inventory and trying to pay off a loan I couldn't afford. I told them there were no customers around because of the hurricaine and my "coach" said that doesn't matter, sales are through the internet or calls made to you.
Well once they got my $2900. the story changed, my coach became scarce..she developed health problems. When I complained about all the fees I was putting out,(phone line, merchant accts, websites, etc.) She told me she was quitting the MLM since it was costing her over $2,000 a month in advertising and she wasn't getting enough of a return.
Well that leaves me high and dry. Now to send the products back Herbalife wants to charge a 10% restock fee, non-refundable "packageing" which they get back, and I must pay to ship it back..at least $100.
Everyone gets a piece of the pie but me. Of course that's the plan to start with. A Professional Racket from the getgo. I will not be a party to suckering someone else into this scam.
So here I sit, in the hurriaines wake and on disability income, trying to figure out how to recoup my loss and pay off a loan. DON"T FALL FOR THIS RACKET!!!
So after reading this and you would like to join please call my"upline supervisor and mentor" please call 805-648-7475.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Just Say NO To Herbalife!

The crap inventory that was delivered to me was just that...crap! Good luck trying to sell that junk. It's not going to happen. I couldn't even give any Herbalife products away! I spent $3000 on worthless inventory I could have gotten at WalMart for way under $300! It's all garbage and I would never recommend anyone taking these so-called health products!
Herbalife products have NOT been evaluated or approved by the Food and Drug Administration!

Wow! I love Herbalife, it helped me lose a lot of weight! I was a distributer also but it didn't work out for me because I am not good at selling things. I just used the products myself and dropped 50 pounds. If you don't go out and try to sell the products then you would be stuck with them. The main people that would buy them are people that you know. If they see that you have lost a lot of weight then, they would want to know how, then you tell them your sucess story and the products you are using. You have to use the products yourself and lost weight, then sell then to other people. If you are not using the products, they won't see a change in you, and that won't inspire them to buy or even use the produts.

Lost Everything

I am also a victim of Herbal Life. It was around 2003, that I became unemployed in Michigan and there were limited jobs at the time. I ran across the Web ad for Herbal Life and how someone with "X" amount of time could make "X" amount of money. Knowing that unemployement would run out, I decided to try it. Just like others who were not told the expenses involved to even start the process, I was sucked into it. Little by little I drained everything I had to the point that I had to claim bankrupcy. I put 100% into the program and got 0% out of it. Not 1 sale or even an interested person to try the product. To this day I still have some of the product with me. I have thrown 95% of it away. No one likes it or wants to try it. I would deaply advise anyone to not go here if you don't want to take a risk at loosing alot of money.

I understand what you're going thru. My mom fell for that scam about 6 years ago, she spend more than $4000 for all the stuff they said she need to become a distributor and I don't know what else. They even talked her in gojng on a very expensive trip to Nashville for a seminar!
She was using the products herself and made us all use the products (wish I didn't find to be special at all)and her "mentor" was telling people that the products were so good they could even prevent some types of cancer. Give me a break!!!
In conclusion, she tried to sell that stuff, unsuccesfully, got stuck with a lot of "products" that noone would use, even for free and lost a lot of money in the process... and they never sent her a check for the commission on what she spend.
So my advise to everyone is: if you come accross anything that has to do with herbalife, just say no!, get out, change the subject, avoid it like the plague... is nothing but bad news.
