I was disappointed (and hurt) by what happened when I purchased Hidden Leverage as a founding member of Michael Somerville's new online Biz Opp and affiliate program called Hidden Leverage. I am also extremely surprised by Paypal's Iron Clad legal defense with their new Seller Protection program. I am an online entrepreneur, and have sold millions of dollars worth of software, and I would never treat a customer or long term fan in this way - even if I could get away with it - regardless of Paypal's new unbelievably buyer-unfriendly coverage and/or guarantees.

Michael Somerville has been an online marketing instructor for many years, and I have supported him with the purchase of many products since 2010. Some of the were ok.

Here is what occurred, and why I am so disappointed and my mind is so completely blown.

1. Paid $2,100.00 for the HiddenLeverage.com membres area during the first part of December, 2015

2. The software and training area was not done. Yes it was the holiday.

3. Waited till first 3 weeks of January - 2016 - it was still taking a while for Michael to finish the program - yes it was the holiday. He has a bunch of money tied up in development for the application, which I can really appreciate as a software developer.

4. I was a little concerned to find that inside the opportunity that I had paid for there was paid traffic for sale that costs literally tens of thousands of dollars. Not really abnormal for affiliate marketing schemes, but none-the-less, we were also promised free traffic and even sales, so I took it with a grain of salt, and just another dimension of the program.

5. The cut and paste "free traffic" methods still had not come when I started thinking about requesting a refund - or at least temporarily.

6. I had some health issues late January that made it very difficult to wait around for the promised launch webinar and completed training area and several other items. I created an intimate (very personal from one professional to another) thinking he would help me out for a couple of reasons. Reason 1: I have thousands of students around the world and my opinion might matter (LOL). I know pompous. Whoops. Reason 2: I sent him a video of 1 of several health consultants I contacted and my medical situation I was dealing with, and here is what I got:

My First Plea to Michael Sommerville:

Hi,

There are a couple of things going on right now that will make it impossible for me to really work this program - a health issue and running my own company. Also, I don't really have the skillsets required - I am not an affiliate marketer.

I would greatly appreciate a refund.

Letter Response 1: from Michael Somerville

Are you serious? you go from pumped up and commenting inside the group to now making up a story.
I follow you on facebook and know this is a joke! What's the problem, are you running out of money or
something ?

In anycase, I am here to help you with this.

Letter 2: My Response

Hi Michael

I can understand why you would think I am a lying fool. So sorry, in this case, I am telling the truth. And I WAS pumped when I purchased the course.

Definitely NOT a joke. See attached.

I would not ask for this if I really did not need the money. I was dealing with this health issue when I purchased your course.

Evidence:

Private skype (and live) consults with one of several specialists:

There are several others as well I can send, including my Lab tests, which are going to take me awhile to get my head around.

Letter 3: Michael Somerville's Response to My Plea

Hi Russell Wright,

First, I am sorry if I offended you, but everyday we get people just putting in random excuses for things like this.

I watched the video and found it to be interesting, what I also find interesting is the fact you're giving up on something that could change your financial well-being.

Personally, I have been sick for over 4 years with an illness that no one has been able to figure out. It affects my body daily and will likely cause me great issues for a long time. But each day I get up and deal with 1000x what you have to deal with. Running 5 companies from my office at home and 1 from a brick and mortar.

Hidden Leverage is the easiest thing around, send traffic and make money. 1,2,3 easy.

In any case, we're not your keepers and can't make you do something you're not mentally able to overcome. The bottom-line we don't offer a refund policy outside the 7 days as per the terms of service. My merchant accounts and legal team have agreed with me on a few issues we had with customer already and this wouldn't be different.

My advice to you, take a break - figure your s**t out - and when you're ready . . . you will see massive results with Hidden Leverage.

We're not going anywhere, so you could spend 15 - 20 minutes a day and see massive results.

I have one guy who send 1000 clicks per day and 5x his invest each day. He's 80 years old too.

My Next Action

Up to this point, I did not get into it with Michael about the incompleteness of the product, the delay, and the window of opportunity that I had when purchasing it.

The more he belittled my situation, the more I felt that he never has any intention of giving anyone their money back. I also begin to suspect that it could be a scam when I saw the very expensive traffic packages inside of the training area, nor did I see any traffic at the time sent to the offers (although he may have been ramping it up . . . ) who knows.

I gave my opinion to Paypal, and said that the product was SIGNIFICANTLY not as described. Things went downhill from there, and Paypal rejected my request for a refund. Here is the scary thing:

USING PAYPAL AS A REFUND BLACKMAIL

When Michael Somerville discovered that I have placed a refound claim in Paypal, he LOCKED my members area - or threatened to lock me out of what I had paid him $2000 for IF I DID NO REMOVE THE CLAIM WITHIN 24 HOURS.  I could do this with my own business if I wanted to, but will not for obvious reasons.

Yes, I lost the case because of Paypal's legal loophole. (By the way, I have an advanced Paypal agent who manages my non-personal 6 figure per month commerce account taking this to the next level internally, but do not know if it will change anything).

So what was a simple return request, turned into THEFT.

Think about this.

It is like going to buy a car. Asking for a refund. They say if you do not retract the request for a refund they are coming to your house to confiscate your car - and keep the money you pay for it. WOW!

So, bottom line, I am out $2100 dollars, I have no car (I mean software training area) and Paypal STANDS BEHIND this.

Welcome to the new world.

I would remove this in a heartbeat if Michael would simply provide a refund and have some basic compassion and integrity. I will also be blogging about the new Paypal Policy as well, as I think it is a REALLY big deal, and I would not use it, even if I could.

Michael has not always been like this, and I don't know why he would think this is ethical.

You've got to be kidding me!

AUTHOR: M. Somerville - (Canada)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 06, 2016

Hello,

Clearly, Russell has some deep down agression towards people that actually have success in life. He's taken a lot of time from himself to post this on here and really only helped me show how I wanted to help him.

Russell agreed at time of purchase, on the phone and with a signed agreement - that he understood what he was purchasing. It's not a "get rich quick" or "mlm" program, we build a complete business out for people to use. There is a no time anything horrible about this prouduct and we have thousands of members who don't share the same issues as russell.

As anyone can read from the post, I tried to help Russell, but he didn't want help - he wanted to calm his stomach issues wouldn't allow him to do anything. Yet, he also claims he does internet marketing for a living.

Bottom-line, he proven within his posts that I was a normal person, but wasn't going to allow someone to take advantage from my company.

Final note, my legal team has been given this information and will be filing action towards this site within 48 hours if the post isn't taken down. Russell also broke the Terms of Service by posting this and he will be served also.

Thank you,

Michael Somerville
