I had heard about High Life Adventures, an activities club for singles, on the radio in Chicago in which they said activities were so much cheaper due to the group discount. When I came in for a screening interview, I was given a speil about how many friends I would have once I joined, all the girls I would meet, and how much better my life would be. I then saw the prices for membership, which were about $1200 for the basic membership for one year. This included the %20 off if I joined right then. There was also a monthly membership fee ranging from about $20 to $40, depending on the package.

Once I saw the prices for many of the activities they offered, I realized that these prices were about 30% to 100% higher than what I would pay if I had done them outside of High Life. Not only would I have to pay a hefty fee to join, pay a monthly membership, but also get ripped off on every event I went to. When I mentioned this to the sales person, she immeadiately told me that I have no life and no friends and that if I didn't join, I'd would do nothing because I had nobody to go with. After I made it clear that I wasn't interested, I waited for her to escort me to the door like a normal salesperson would. Instead, she continued to insult me. Then I got up, thanked her for her time, and walked out. If the only way they can get you to join is by insulting high pressure methods, the service must be pathetic.

I should say that if you don't mind forking out a lot of money and over paying all the time, the service is for you.
