High Tech Pet Store - hightechpet.com ripoff, poor quality product, Ventura California

Complaint filed with Ventura, CA, BBC On May 27, 2005, an ol-line order was placed for Humane Contain TM, Model UG-350A, which includes one collar, 3 receiver batteries, Boundry Extension Kit, and 1 additional collar, for a total of $214.28 which was placed on a credit card.

On June 11, 2005, a Sofa Scram, Pet Trainer and Pre Twisted Wire Kit were ordered, more money on credit card.

The Sofa Scram was replaced "3" times before one was received that worked.

On August 8, 2005, the two collars were replaced because the original ones did not work. On August 15, 2005, two replacement collars were received and they did not work. One of these, the battery compartment seperated into two pieces in my hand.

On August 16, 2005, today, I called them at 9:30 AM, there time and they were not answering there phones yet. I then, sent an email, from the company web site, that bounced faster than I could end one message and go to my mail to see the next.

I called them at 10:30AM, there time, and the lady that answered, when I explained what had happened, told me to send it to the email address that ahd just bounced. I got angry, ask for a good email address, got nowhere, ask for the business owners name and fax, received them and prepared a fax responce to him.

Then I decided that my fax would have more clout if it included a copy of a complaint to the BBC of the city where they are located; also a copy of this writing to RipOffReport.com.

It would be inappropriate to disclose a past experience here, but it was fulfilling and led to a satisfactory conclusion.

So, pet owners, when you go on-line to purchase products for your pet(s), give a second thought to doing business with High Tech Pet Store (hightechpet.com)
