Highland Hospital Oakland Ca Bullying in the Labor and Delivery room oakland California

Labor and delivery was horrid! My wife and I went strait there when she was started having contractions, she was over 6cm and we were still sent home, and nothing to soothe my wifes pain while waiting and she was in severe pain! The whole wing was overwhelmed and under staffed. it took hours to get any help. as I said we were sent home, Our vehicle was located on the Second floor of the parking lot of the hold highland building. the door was locked in the inside of the entrance where we would pay our parking fee so that we can leave. we were literally there for almost an hour before their lazy a*s security guards came to open up the door, after almost seven phone calls, in which one of them I was intentional hung up on..

That whole sleepless night my wife was screaming in pain with our two year old toddler was worried. The next day we rushed back in to get help because now it was much worse! plus its the closest hospital to us so we had no other alternatives but to give this god forsaking hospital another try. we get there ten at night so it hadn't been that long since we've left this hospital They Must've changed shifts cause they admitted my wife right in, and gave her something to treat the pain for a while. everything was fine until the morning shift came in the next day, the same people who were rushing us out cause we were low priorities, there were so filled up.

Five times out of that day by the mid-wife whose name was Kate, and a doctor name Valentino. Since me and my wife saw them that day, we were bombarded with constant recommendations of using pitocin to speed up the birthing process, to which my wife politely declined, FIVE TIMES! According to our primary mid-wife (who works for the Eastmont medical center AND highland), and one of the nurses who worked at highland stated my wife had every choice in the matter of having natural birth the way she wanted, with family in the room!

Anyways after Much more request that she should take the pitocin, her pain started coming back with a vengeance! cause she has gotten 2cm WIDER! they Said she can take the pitocin and they can then give her pain medication! And if she Declines this time, we'll have to leave once again! and IF we refuse to leave we will be escorted by security! The doctor stated we couldn't get vouchers for the ride home, although we had no means of transportation, he stated " we're on our own". In short, that next day in the evening we had a beautiful baby girl in another hospital on Castro valley WAY on the other side of the bay.

So yea, F%&$ HIGHLAND HOSPITAL That new Labor and delivery room they build doesn't in any way shape or form change who they are.. The doctors there are a bunch of drug pushers who likes to flex their chest, and low rate security guards that should instead work for low rate grocery stores or malls like Bay Fair, Southland or Gazzali's...
