below is the letter i sent Carol Ponton describing my dissatisfaction.  She called and spoke to me with a tone of disinterest.  In her opinion as she stated if you dont like how we handle your case go elsewhere.

Dear Mrs. Ponton,



I have received the paperwork from Ms. Leslie Gaines for the renewal of
our contract for representation in my Disability case.  There has been
many problems in the matter which I will describe here.  I have had to
put money out of my own pocket for doctor paperwork because Leslie told
me that the firm can only pay for a limited number of forms.  This I see
is no where in the contract especially when I see now that i have to
pay back that money if I get approved.  Also Leslie talked me into
traveling all the way to Jacksonville to the hearing with SS and now I
have to pay her traveling fees and I never got mine back.  At the
hearing she never really did anything to prove my case, she asked 2-3
questions and that was all.  It would have been better by telephone like
I wanted to do it.  I told Leslie several times that I was not happy
with the way things were going and she would say that I could not get
another attorney, if we didnt want her no one in the firm would
represent me.  She also badgered my Dr Dominguez to keep filling out one
form over and over and signing it that he got so angry he just filled
out cannot determine on everything because he had not seen me in a
year.  But the evaluation form he originally filled out was not long
after I had seen him and he fired the secretary because of the
harassment.  The secretary in that office was nice and did his paperwork
for him and he would just sign it.  Now because of the inquisition she
is terminated.  I asked Leslie not to forward that unfavorable report to
SS and she said that if I didnt want it sent she could not repressnt me
because it was not ethical.  The client has the last say on what is
sent not Leslie. She is supposed to be representing me.  I do not answer
to her.  It is impossible to contact her and i cant keep track of all
the assistants she has.  Its always someone new and no one knows what is
going on.  If possible I would like a more aggressive attorney who will
take my case seriously.  I do not think Leslie has the time neccesary
to handle my case or the experience.  Please feel free to contact me
personally or your representative.

Hill and Ponton

 Whoever said this law firm are ripoffs, are soooooooo far out of reality. They have been with me since 2008. I been through some good times and really bad times. Hill and Ponton staff have always helped me during my operations and opiate addiction times. Now I been diagnosed with more mental diagnosis. This firm would be the only one I would use. It's not the firm's mission to bully the VA, they have to abide to more stress and the VA paperwork process. Now with the RAMP offers. Bet they do more by lunch than some do all week. I have faith they will win for me. I'm even checking into the substance and pain mgt program. They don't know but my Attorney Shannon Brewer, and Chris Remegio will know tomorrow. Patience must be a pill to swallow. If anyone thinks it's that easy, do the work they do on your own. When you say well"no one told me that" they knew. Let them work. Or go to law School and have fun.

VA Benefit

 To: Whom it may concern,

         The Law firm of Hill & Ponton represent integrity, honesty and compassion. My dealing with Mrs. Carol  Ponton and staff came by accident.

         I saw her television commerical and her firm was the only one handling VA Disability cases in Orlando and Kissimmee, Florida.

         My case was on appeal from the Department of Veterans Affairs and this was going on for Twenty Two (22) years. I was utilizing the service of the Disabled American Veterans, which resulted in a merely (20) Twenty per cent disability rating.

          I had Medical problems and I was unemployable at the age of sixty five (65). Who going to hire a Vet who

has a disability with many medical problems. Today job market, the younger generation are better educated and will work long hour for better pay.

           Contacting Hill & Ponton in September of 2010, they immediately went to work on my case. They successfully concluded my case on August 8, 2013, with a award of 100% and back pay of nearly twenty two (22) years.

          During these (3) three years while my case was in progress, my wife and I went through much stress and anxiety. During this time, my wife had a major heart operation, which resulted in a disability for her.

         We were one step from having nothing to eat and been homelessness on the street.

         Thank to Hill & Ponton and staff, they came through and brought us back to less stress and aniety. My benefits started arriving on August, 2013. Finally the financial blessing had arrived after Twenty two (22) of suffering!!!!!

          Mrs Ponton and staff was honest, effectual and communicating with me every step of the way.

My wife and I are graceful and want to thank you from the bottom of our heart!!!!!!

This entire complaint was about respect for the client and how it was handled in an unprofessional manner.  You "lawyers" have again spun this into an advertisement of how good of a firm you are instead of responding to the actual problem.  Answer the question at hand of disrespect of a client and then perhaps someone can begin to take you seriously as a reliable lawfirm.

We are sorry to see your negative experience with Hill and Ponton.  The Social Security Disability process can be confusing and difficult. 

We can make sure that the Social Security Administration applies the law as favorably to you as possible.  We cannot make up the facts though.  That is why we strive to constantly get updated records from your doctors.  We cannot force doctors to say certain things but we can inform them about the law.  As you noted, Leslie worked diligently to make sure that your doctor understood your case. However, we cannot control whether or not doctors are willing to support their patients’ disability.  I’m sorry that our level of persistence did not live up to your expectations for an aggressive lawyer.  We strive to be as persistent as we can without crossing any ethical lines.

Regarding ethical lines, our responsibilities lie not only with representing our clients zealously but also being candid with the tribunal.  Essentially not only do we represent our clients we must be forthright with the judge.  These duties can come in conflict when the attorney has negative evidence that would hurt the client’s case.  That is why Leslie said that she had to give the judge the evidence.  You were correct in that it was your case and you could decide not to submit it. But, at that point we were ethically bound to withdraw our representation so as not to violate our ethical obligations. 

Unfortunately, we are not able to win all the cases we have taken.  However, over the last 25 years, we have had the opportunity to help nearly 30,000 people obtain their benefits all across Central Florida.  Our attorneys are experienced and work very hard for every client. We have a very high success rate with the cases we have, and our clients really appreciate our work.
