Holiday Connections promised us vacation lodgings at resorts which were wheelchair accessible and sensitive to the disabled. We booked 2 weeks in the U.K. on their promise that the accomodations whould be w/c accessible and have the necessary safety precautions (grab bars).

When we arrived in Scotland, the resort was a cottage on a working farm miles from the nearest restaurants (any kind of eateries)and to get to the door of the cottage there was over 10 of gravel path. Wheelchairs do not move well on gravel. The w/c barely fit inot the hall, could not enter into the bathroom and Jim was saying how he was ruining our vacation.

After burning up the phone lines, our lodgings were changed. At least, now the w/c could get into the unit, but again there were no safety precautions.

In England, we were registered at at resort, but again ther were no safety measures and we had to enter through the back door of the restaurant (the front had 3 steps). Jim fell in the bathtub, the management kindly sent up a rubber bath math and a chair to place in the tub.

On our return to N.J., we spoke to the management of Holiday Connections and they were insensitive and uncaring. It did not matter to them that they had treated Jim like a 2nd class citizen. They said too bad and no you can not get your money back.

Stay away from this company, they are only looking out for themselves and do not care that they have ruined a vacation. The State of N.J. is investigating them for consumer fraud. Beware of them.
