Holiday Inn Express, North Bergen, NJ Holiday Inn Holiday Inn Express Holiday Inn North Bergen, NJ Holiday Inn Lincoln Tunnel, NJ Nasty Manager would not accomodate me and my 5 year old to use pool before check-in since check in is late 4pm North Bergen New Jersey

I used Expedia for the first time and boom a room at this hotel so I could spend July 4th in the pool eith my nephew.   I live close so was not going to use the room just wanted use of the pool.   When I got the confirmation and saw check in was at 4pm I called expedia to see if the hotel could accomodate and let me use the pool before checkin.

The manager was the nastiest rudest person ever. Not even you can try if its not full, nasty to the max. I explained my nephew came all the way to spend the day at the poolm hence the rool rental but at 4pm the day is half over. Since they would not accomodate me - I canceled the reservation and noe they have decided not to refund me despite the fact that I ded the cancellation the day prior.

Hotels are supposed to be top of their game with hospitability. Plenty of hotels. I am a woman who was out of work for 11 months - spend my money wisely and just wanted to make some memories with my 5 year old nephew. 

My holiday was ruined. DO NOT BOOK OR STAY at the Holiday in Express on Tonnelle ave in North Bergen near the Lincoln tunnel!

 July 4 and a hot one. Do I made plans and with a 5 year old to play in a pool obviously you have no kids. Even worse he had autism so he cried all day. I have no attitude but I'm going to pretend it's ok. I'd holiday inn so hard up for cash they rob customers?

I would bet dollars to doughnuts that you haven't rented a single hotel room in your life, let alone being responsible for spending thousands of dollars putting up customers there. Because:

a) You would have already known about the Check-In time at this hotel.
b) You would have called them directly instead of booking through a 3rd party site.
c) You don't even know the difference between the booking site and the Hotel

Your report isn't even on the right company. You stated you called Expedia to find out, they have ZERO clue as to the policy of the Hotel, you should have called the Hotel directly.

I am a woman who was out of work for 11 months - spend my money wisely and just wanted to make some memories with my 5 year old nephew.
- So why did it have to be at a pool? At best this delay would have been an inconvienence. But if anyone ruined your 4th it was you and your attitude.

 That is a very wise decision. We pay good money for good service Not smart at all if you ask me. My organization spends thousands of dollars putting our customers up there. Well they have just business, my company's business, and now yours. All I wanted to do was use the pool w my 5 year old nephew. He could have let us in bit smart a* even an in sorry, let me see what we can do, an attempt at knowing they tried then Rob me by not giving me back. Ruined my July 4th Well what you give is what you get!

This was where i was planning to stay in August...guess what..NOT NOW OR EVER..that behavior was totally unacceptable. Some people arent suited for the job, sounds like this might be the case.
