Holly Hummel (Select Exotics) Savannah Cat Breed Sold Me a Very Mean Animal, Offered Little Support, Lied in Initial Agreement/Contract Cabery Illinois

It all started with the fact that the contract I signed agreed to pay $3500 total for a female f3 Savannah breeding kitten. Upon shipping the kitten, Holly requested $250 more for shipping and when I resent her the contract I had signed, only indicating $3500 total owed, she began to get very upset, claiming she had made a mistake and could either switch my kitten with another kitten or take $150 off of the charge but I would still need to utilize the extra expenses (which I had designated for the kitten when she arrived) to pay for the shipping of this $3500 kitten, even though it was not indicated on the initial contract. This in itself, was very frustrating as Holly was requesting this extra money days before my kitten was scheduled to arrive and throwing me into an emotional whirlwind and conflict in switching her. I’ll be honest, for $3500, she did not have that nice of a coat. It was grey and dirty looking and her spots really mostly shone through from far away. This was extremely disenchanting. Not to mention the car had real and serious temperament issues and would randomly fly across the room to attack me, sink her nails into me without relenting. She also HATED water. I worked with this kitten. I told Holly the issues I was having and she barely cared. As indicated in the other rip off report i’ve just found, which indicated the same notion of her "basic, rude” and hardly "caring” or "professional” correspondence, Holly was hardly engaged or cared about the outcome of her animal’s future, let alone her buyer’s. It was a horrifying situation. Having a strong relationship with the breeder ensures a lot greater success with the animal, because it helps ensure that everyone is happy and cared for together. Having a strong relationship with the breeder also gives the buyer more confidence with the animal. Holly doesn’t care about what happens to her thousand dollar cats. It’s sickening to imagine her selling $20,000 cats and offering the same treatment. I bought with Select Exotics because they popped up in Google Search and had what seemed to be a legitimate site. I wish I had waited. There are FAR BETTER and FAR MORE BEAUTIFUL cats out there for the price. I would never reccommend this breeder to anyone. KEEP LOOKING. Holly’s Savannah’s are truly a rip off. They do not come with sound temperaments, and they are overpriced and Holly is confident in her lying ability, that she will have minimal expenses with people once the sale is done and the "no going back” contract is signed and finalized. Don’t buy from this breeder, if you can, keep searching and find a real nice Savannah sweetie from a wonderful woman who cares about YOU and the OUTCOME OF HER PRODUCTION. Very sad situation. I no longer have the $3500 nightmare that was "Princess Leai” and I like to think she is still out there, roaming the galaxy, searching for food, hopefully safe and with people who love her. If I was selling cats, I would never sell them like Holly has, without truly caring about everyone's Best interest. As long as she got her money, she had no questions. I don’t think we spoke on the phone but one time. Avoid this breeder at all costs, literally and keep a lookout on Instagram. There are lots of great Savannah cat breeders on Instagram and if I could go back, I definitely would have waited and bought from a more wonderful company, with more wonderful animals, better markings and more loving temperaments.
