On February 16^th 2015 I signed up for the PRO contractor lead service with Home Adviser via a sales rep. 2 hours later I informed the sales rep Mr. Joseph DeMarzio, that I will not need the service after all. I contacted the sales rep well before that 24 hour period before my debit card was to be charged. I was told that the approval process takes 24 hours. The sales rep lied to me. I was charged before the 24 hours even after I declined the service and informed the rep via email and voice mail. I also contacted the customer care specialist a Mr. Scott Seminoff on Feb 17^th2015, still within the 24 hour window. So far I have yet to hear from either Mr. DeMarzio or Mr. Seminoff despite several attempts to reach them. I really should have done my research before I signed up. This company has more than 600 complaints with Better Business. Given their track record I doubt I’ll be able to resolve my issue with the company. I’ve file complaints with BBB and FTC. This company is a fraud and a scam. Stay away. They will also allow felons to use their service without doing a proper background check. The felons are approved almost instantly no matter the crime.
