Corporate America can't stand that consumers and reporters can expose their incompetence and even outright corruption, and they can't stand it that potential customers - and shareholders - can find out what's going on. Corporations are suing people or organizatons who tell the truth... this is a frivolous suit not based in law but meant to intimidate the consumer or advocate. If not for reporting like the above link, and sites like the Rip Off Report, hadd, Consumer Reports Magazine, etc, you would have far less info to research before buying.

Did you know many state consumer protection agencies and BBB's DON'T make complaints public information? Did you know arbitration clauses in many kinds of contracts now take away your right to a trial and are private record? We NEED consumer reporting like the above, for the public good. What we don't need is sleazy corporations hiding complaints and suing complainers!
