Home Helpers is out for money only! Do not get involved with this organization. I am speaking to all with sincerity and concern. I do not want anyone to go through what myself and many other franchisees have gone through.

They promise you the world during the corporate visit, and then you never hear from them again. Do not believe Gary at all. Do not believe Emily Dickinson. Do not believe Mercedes Schneider. Do Not believe Jeff Seihl.

If you do decide to get involved please review the contract with an attorney.

1. Realize that you have to pay for the support offered, which was NOT disclosed in the intital meetings.

2. Do realize that you have to pay for the ElderCare Link leads and service and anything other service offered through HH Franchising.

3. Do realize that you have to pay minimum royalties of 300.00 even if you're not in business.

4. Do ask about how to get out of the business. It's of no benefit to the franchisee.

       a. Option 1: You sell it yourself

       b. Option 2: They sell it for you. If they don't sell it within 6 months, they automatically take it from you.

5. Do realize that no one will help you.

6. Do realize that they make up charges.

7. Do ask about turnover rate in the area you're wanting to purchase.

8. Do ask about what they do with the 150.00/month marketing fee.

9. Do realize that no one will come to your home and help you set up like a few other home care franchisees. There is no corporate presence in each state like some other franchises.

10. Do call other existing franchisees about their experiences with corporate. Search for locations online, and call them. Don't use the contacts given by corporate.

If anyone is interested in a class action, please respond.

Call franchisees to find out the truth

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Of course they're going to say everything is false so they can keep selling franchises. That's they're business. As mentioned before, if you are considering a HomeHelpers franchise, please ask the questions listed. Make sure every FEE and the Options Letter is in the signed contract. Also, do your homework and call franchisees. You can find they're phone numbers on the website. Do not use the list of franchisees to call that they give you.

We are in the process of selling back the franchise. Jeff Seihl arrogantly told me "Don't expect to see your money back". I am interested in joining a class action lawsuit.  Please contact me at (((ROR redacted)))

As President of
Home Helpers and Direct Link, I wanted to take the opportunity to address the
recent negative posting on www.ripoffreport.com .
Home Helpers, in operation since 1997 with  more than twelve years of
experience, has been recognized as the top ranked senior care franchise by
Entrepreneur Magazine for the last four years. Currently Home Helpers
franchises serve more than 500 communities across the United States and provide
exceptional client care.

Prior to being awarded
a franchise, owners are provided a wealth of information on the senior care
industry and the Home Helpers operating system. They are given the opportunity
to meet key members of the management and support team. In addition, candidates
are provided all financial terms contained in the agreement that they would be
obligated to and are strongly encouraged to have an attorney review their
contract as part of their research before making a final decision. In addition,
and as required by law, Home Helpers disclosure document has been reviewed and
meets all of the state and federal requirements to conduct business as a
franchise.

The Home Helpers
support system is extensive and currently provides training, marketing support,
meetings, field visits and national account support at no charge to
franchisees.

Growth continues
as a result of strong franchise operations.  Although there are differing
levels of success in any franchise, the facts above are provided to bring
greater accuracy and understanding to the misleading and inaccurate information
posted earlier.
