Friendly staff, and good turn-around on communication. However, the information received was often inaccurate and/or misrepresented. The "no closing cost refi" offered to me ended up having closing costs. I was told we would get two months off from mortgage payments, but then only received one. We still went through the process due to the time we already invested in it, and we would end up saving ourselves a lot of money. But ultimately that was due to market factors and my good credit score - not because Homebridge/REMN was doing me any favors or providing a special deal.
If that was the end of it, I would likely not have placed this review. However, the branch manager offered me a $100 gift card for our troubles. Considering the thousands they will make on the deal, it's relatively insignificant - but it was a nice gesture! But, they never sent the card, and then ignored a follow up email asking about it. Though, I did receive a Thank You note in the mail with a stack of business cards to give to my friends... I would go elsewhere.

I was contacted by the branch manager who made every effort to make things right. I also just spoke with my accountant who also affirmed that Homebridge did the best they could with the refinance issues encountered, considering the factors involved. At the end of the day, mortgage lending is a very complex process, and there are many variables that can influence expectations - at no fault of the lender. In this light, I would certainly feel comfortable in a complete removal of the original report. However, as I am only able to provide an update, I am doing this instead.
In conclusion, I think there was an unfortunate series of events that caused me to shape my opinion to the negative. However, I'm now convinced I was wrong in my understanding of things, and thus in error to post the original report. I would point out to the reader that my original report affirmed the friendliness of the staff, and quick communication. This certainly has not changed. Should I need mortgage services again, I would trust them to provide the best possible service once again.
