I took my computer (laptop) into Homeland in November of 2007. I was told it would take at least a week to fix my computer, which needed a new keyboard only. I made several trips into the shop over the next three months, I was repetedly told that they were waiting on the new key board to be shipped to them.

I recieved a letter from Homeland simply dated "February 2008", stating that (for reasons unknown to me) they were unable to contact me by phone however my computer was ready to be picked up.

I called after recieving this letter and asked if they would be able to wait until my pay day, which was to be March 12, 2 weeks from the phone call and letter sent. I was very rudley told by the owner/manager that he would not hold it...I explained the to him that there was no way I could pick it up at that very moment. He reluctently agreed to hold it until the 12th of March...Demanding that first thing the morning of I come in and pick it up. It was mutually agreed upon and the the conversation left at that.

Yesterday being March 12th, I went into Homeland Computers and asked to pick it up. I was told, by the same rude man that I had talked to on the phone, he was unable to locate my laptop and as far as he knew my computer was still being worked on as of March 11. " I don't know were your computer is, but give me your phone number and I will call you when I find it.", are the words I was told.

I went straight to the local police department to report my computer as stolen. I was told that this was a civil issue and there was nothing they could do, as I willingly gave my computer to the company. During my visit to the police station I learned that I am not the only person to visit them with a complaint agaist this same business!

I made two trips into Homeland yesterday March 12, and was faced with a man whom acted as though he had no clue who I was or what was going on with my computer.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB and Alabama Attorney General and awaiting word from them, however this situation has botherd me greatly and feel I have been taken advantage of and wish for more than my my computers return.

I do not want others to face this same issue and give up due to the owner/managers intimidating attitude. This is wrong and no one should have to put up with shady businesses.

Mr. Steven, whatever his last name is, the person that filed the report, filed a false and untrue report with your website. His girlfriend had left her PC at my business for repair. We repaired it and was left at my facility over 30 days. After 30 days we consider a PC to be abandoned and sell the PC for the cost to repair. However, before we do this we notify the owner of the PC by registered mail signature required. This was done. His girlfriend finally called our office when she received the letter and wanted to know how much the cost of repairing her PC was. After talking with her, this idiot, Mr. Steven calls and demands to know why repairing her PC was so expensive. We had her approval to repair the PC when she initially brought it in and I told him that. Eventually I had to tell Mr. Stevens that he wasn't the owner of the PC and I would be glad to talk with his girlfriend and to have her call me. THUS he files this BOGUS report on your website.
