I have about had it with this company. Since August 2008 they have made it extremely difficult to send payments in. Apparentlly, there was a modification on a mortgage that us as the consumer had no choice in the matter. At this point, paperwork (There's) had to be signed. I never received the paperwork, so they had to resend it. During this time I was unable to make payments online as I have for the past 3 Years.
I would call this company 3 times a month begging them to take a check by phone, finally I would get someone who would. They would them take my payment and not apply it to my loan.
I then signed this modification paper for them and a check for TWO months of mortgage. They sent me the check back saying they need a cashier check. Now the loan is 60 days late.
I have excellent credit, 5 Mortgages all paid on time. This Company is forcing us to go into foreclosure! I have all paperwork and papertrails should you want to see it! HOMEQ is FRAUD.

I must say that after having gone through months of "issues" with HomEQ myself and dealing with "employees" like noneya who replied....it is very easy to get discouraged. I dealt with HomEq myself and all of their "mistakes" by the supposed automated system...etc etc, in the end my loan was modified and all is seemingly well, but it took several months to get to that conclusion. Employees such as nonya that often reply to posters on this forum usually only go on to further prove that they (along with the company they work for) are less than professional and in my opinion probably not qualified to be in the position they are in. After reading the replies that they post its a wonder that many of them are even employed to begin with, especially in a customer service position. When all you do is automatically assume that the owner of the mortgage is at fault (even though there are literally hundreds of similar complaints listed here and other forums as well) an d never consider that it might just be the fault of the company....nothing gets resolved.
I don't know the full details of this particular case but I will say that after having dealt with them myself I find it much easier to side with the mortgage holder since I know first hand what HomEq is capable of.
If you want to get some where write letters/emails to the people at the top of the organization. If your case is truly a mistake on their part then have your supporting documents ready and talk to the people that can actually help you. If you don't know who those people are or cant find them, you can do a search on here for their info. I found their names and email addresses when I read other postings in this forum and if I remember right I put them in one of my followup replies.
Good luck with your situation

1st off, during a MOD, if we recieved moneys, we would hold it on the side un til it was completed. This is because if we need to affect the payments to a previous month ( its dec 15th today and MOD completed, this month, we would reverse to be affected dec 1st payment). This is to YOUR benifet. Now if there was credit reporting done during the time of thi, its very simple to reverse this. You just need to request it. Many things done in our systems are done automated. So if there was an error, we would take full responsibilty of it, you just need to do your part and send in the proof. Written proof, not just verbal.
Its simple, but you need to understand that everyone, including companys make mistakes.
But if the credit reporting was done for another reason, not homeqs fault, deal with the factyou messed up.
