I have been dealing with Vanderbuilt Homes for about two to three weeks now and I have been getting the runaround. I have spoken with three different salesmen and they have all told me different things. The first one we met acted like we were strangers and wasn't really trying to help us. The second one was very nice, but kept giving up the runaround. He would tell us that he was going to call us back and never would, so we had to call him. He also told me that he would call me on a certain day and he didn't so when I called, his manager told me that he didn't know why the other salesman told me that he would call me on, when he is regularly scheduled to be off on that day. The third salesman I spoke with was his manager and he was VERY RUDE to me and told me that because I had a certain loan that there was no need to purchase a home from Vanderbuilt. When I tried to question him to get answers, he told me that there was nothing that could be done because they were independent and they would run things how they run them and if I didn't like it, to go somewhere else. I was shocked, because my aunt purchased a house from the about ten years ago and she was happy, so she referred me. I told them that I was going to file a complaint about them, because that was just uncalled for. One salesman is telling me they can work with me and help and the other was being hateful telling me that Vanderbuilt was not my choice. It was a terrible experience and I am still angry about it because they gave me the runaround for three weeks when they could have just been upfront. They have bad customer service and I will never refer anyone to them ever! Every time I called and tried to speak with the owner, there was always an excuse time after time. I am through with this company. After all, I am the customer and not the seller. I have spoken with other modular home companies and they all have told me that they have heard nothing but negative things about Vanderbuilt. I am happy with the other places that I have been because they have excellent customer service. No more Vanderbuilt. Good Riddens!!!!!!!!

There is never any excuse for rudeness, especially to a customer. I dont know any of the specifics of the above complaint but I apologize for any rudeness that was encountered by the customer.
There are certain finance programs that Homes by Vanderbuilt avoids because of the financial risks. When possible, other programs or methods of financing are looked into. Sometimes it doesnt work out and it is disappointing to us as well as our customer. A persons finance history and eligibility sometimes takes time to research and if we are unable to sell a customer a home we so advise the customer. This should always be done courteously and with respect. I am very sorry that this customer encountered unprofessional and rude responses.
