Homes Of Merit ripoff refused to make repairs lied refused to honor warranty shoddy substandard construction Ocala Florida

First month 2000, walls crooked,reported defects they came and caulked all of these nailholes. Crack around garden tub formica, glued and caulked, looks like crap, after 1 yr. leak in roof,sent tech out he put his foot through while walking on and told us they will not cover because branch went through roof- never found this (branch) told us we must inspect regularly, we did and could not see leak it damaged my sons back bedroom ceiling. then wanted 50 dollars per warranty. Had to repair ourselves all the way to the wood,no tar paper and wood trusses 1x2.Very interesting indeed. next 2 yr old air conditioning unit kept burning out circuit boards and fans, switches etc should be from year 2000 but was from 1998.

Many costly repairs every 6 monthes and we do yearly maintenance also will soon be looking at atleast 1500.00 replacement. Moen faucet had to be replaced leaking allover,toilets repeatedly fixed, well pump went 2 yrs ago, now the roof again ,4yrs ago we had to redo roof area over my other sons front far bedroom, now over the den and in the back bedroomnext to the den. Husbands foot went through when he went up to look for leaks. husband has been blowing off and checking for damage every other month. looks like roof is possibly rotting from the particle board underneath. roofer says he has never seen anything like it 5000.00 to replace.meantime we are in hurricane seasonand had to tarp it until we repair it, am getting estimates. what a joke that this house can withstand 110-120 mile per hpur winds, not the roof thats for sure.
