I found homesrelief while looking for a apartment on craigslist. I called the company formally known as homes relief, paid $149 with my credit card and was promised a refund if I decided this program wasn't working for me. After time and numerous problems logging on/password, I began to look at properties. I realized I was misled and that It would take so much more time and energy then I anticipated. homes relief did not explain accurately the full process. If I knew exactly what the process was I would have never wasted my time, let alone give $149 that I don't have for nothing in return.

When I first contacted them, I was a bit leery. I felt that this was too good to be true. I was excited and asking questions from the homes relief representative. The last question I asked was, "why don't people know about this company"? There was a pause, and then he hung up on me. This was definitely a sidle sign, but I wanted to believe, lol.

After a few weeks I was finally able to log on the website. I read the process, and immediately realized that this would be extremely risky and I would have to be ignorant to try. I would have to trust complete strangers (homeowners I don't know). There program involves obtaining occupancy, making payments on the mortgage, and the lender is left in the dark. It would seem almost impossible to find owners willing to go along with this, as they would have to trust me as I am a stranger to them. I could see this working with an immediate family member, but not at all with strangers.

I wanted a refund. I read the refund process and saw that they intentionally made it difficult to obtain. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to complete this refund request online. I knew this was to hold people's money longer and make more on the interest from many people who paid $149. I knew that many people would procrastinate and probably even count the $149 as a lost. Many people would pay that amount to avoid the time, energy and headache required to get your money refunded. This was a strategy of this company I thought. When I finally had time to pursue my refund. I realized that this company no longer existed. I had no way to contact them except for the obsolete email I had.

I emailed homes relief and got a delivery status notification failure or an automated response. I left it alone for a while. One day I got a phone call from a company called hrnational. The representative was a lady. She explained what the company was about and it was identical to homesrelief. I asked her if she was affiliated with homes relief. I could sense the guilt in her voice. She said that she didn't believe so. I asked how long she has worked for hrnational. She said for 5 years. I was at a grocery store so had to make the conversation short. I asked for a contact number. Later on I called that number and found out that she gave me a bogus number. I heard an automated message saying that this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service.

I typed homes relief in my search engine and found rip off report. I found others people who had been ripped off by this company. I found out that homesrelief is now hrnational. I found hrnational website and noticed that the webpage was identical to homes relief. Same pictures and everything, except for the name. I tried to log on with the username and password I had for homes relief. I was unsuccessful. I pressed the link: forgot password, which didn't do anything except refresh the page. Hr national is undoubtedly the same company as homesrelief. They are obviously crooked and beating people left and right. I don't know why they are able to get away with this, as it is fraud. I would think they would face jail time, as they are clearly robbing people.

I wonder how often they change their name. I don't know what to do. I would like my refund as well as compensation or interest for holding my money that long. I want justice. They should pay for what they did. I have proof that I paid them $149 and never received a refund, as it is reflected on my bank statement. Hopefully there will be enough people that care enough about the fraudulent activities of homesreleif/hrnational, to file a report; which will hopefully lead to a class action suit.

sincerely,

Dana

Cancelled? I don't think so!!!

AUTHOR: Misty - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 02, 2009

Yeah, I told my GF to not give these people our credit card number but against my advise she paid the $1.95 for the first month and soon found out their website offererd no helpful information. In fact, she was told that she should be careful when calling these people or going to the addresses because many of them were disgruntled and may become violent!

I told her to cancel it and she called and of course the person she spoke with was happy to assist her but never give her anything to CONFIRM that the service was "cancelled". One month later we have a charge for $49.95 that shows up on our account from HRNational.com; same company. We called the number that our bank gave us and she spoke with a guy named "Steve" on April 29. He stated he didn't show it had been cancelled but that he would put that request in now. He advised it could take "10-15 business days" for the cancellation to be processed. However when we checked out account on May 1st it appeared to have been cancelled because the charge was removed from the pending status in our account. We now had the money available so we assumed nothing more was needed; my GOD were we wrong!!!

I pulled $40 from our account which left us with about $15 in the account. We went to the store and spent an additional $10 so that should have left us with about $5. We deposited $100 that night so everything SHOULD have been just fine but it wasn't.

I checked our accout last night and we are over drawn due to 3 $35 charges all stemming from that $49.95 being PUT THROUGH AGAIN!!! We have tried calling the number the bank gave us and it sounds like it's going to an asnwering machine at someone's house; not voicemail but rather an OLD SCHOOL ANSWERING MACHINE. I am at work now but I am trying to get the number we have been calling to compare it to what was posted here..... So now we aren't just out the $49.95 we are also out $105 in bank fee's.

The number we have been calling is 888-255-1137 which is different from the one posted by Lotty1955. I am going to try the one that Lotty1955 posted!

hr National customer service phone number

AUTHOR: Lotty1955 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 01, 2008

I had just recently joined H R National for $1.95 for a 1 week trial period. It was not really what they said it would be or as easy.

I did however cancel my membership today without any problems so far. (hopefully no charges will hit my bank account) My week is up tomorrow. I called their customer service number 800-668-8195 and got through immediately and they stated my membership was cancelled. However I was not given any confirmation number and that is my fault for not asking.

Dana was a customer that had filed a complaint. Maybe you could pass this telephone number to him.

Thank you

Addressing Dana's Concerns

AUTHOR: Hr National - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 18, 2008

It appears Dana had registered at a time where our Refund Policy allowed the customer to send in a Refund Request form if they did not have success moving forward with properties. It does also seem that Dana may have been mislead by HR National's Sales Reps (who have all been replaced) at the time. We are unaware why a Sales Rep would hang up on her however, but perhaps the Sales Rep was training and was unable to answer the question.

Addressing Dana's concerns:

- You receive your login information immediately after registering. If she had trouble logging in, simply calling Customer Service would have allowed her access, as a Rep would have promptly re-sent her login info.

- Dana is obviously not to familiar with the PreForeclosure Process, as she blatantly believes that a process used by hundreds of thousands of Real Estate investors on a daily basis is 'obscene'.

- HR National nor Homes Relief ever made outgoing phone calls. This is a lie by Dana.

- The name was changed once the listings were made national, ie: Homes Relief National. There was nothing scandalous about the name-change, and all of our customers were sent e-mails notifying them of the update.

- If Dana is still interested in obtaining her refund, feel free to e-mail compliance@hrnational.com and we will gladly issue a refund and provide access to our website for the inconvenience she had.
