I had purchased a air conditioner motor from hometown true value

saturday march 31-2012 at 9:25 am.The ac motor was never intsalled or used and hometown true value offers no exchange after 7 days on receipt. We had took the motor in sun april 1, for exchange and also mon april 3,for exchange both times we were refused to get our money back after the next day purchase.

Hometown True Value is practicing unfair practices and has poor customer service and does not honor refunds on purchased products. As of the horrible service provided by hometown true value in buckeye,az and not getting a refund on there store bought item, I will no longer shop at hometown true value for any of my home or hardware needs.

My money's on the OP installing the motor, finding another problem

and then trying to stiff the merchant with an impossible to re-sell item..Not too honest on the OP's part.

I guess next we'll hear that's how it was when he bought it.

Characteristics such as set screw marks, motor housing bolts being bent and even mud on the frame would prevent us from either putting the motor back on our shelf or returning it to the manufacturer. This is why we did not give the customer a refund.

Part was not special order, True Value had this A /C motor in stock and still did not honor the refund policy. Total waste of time and money

Was this a special order motor?

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

If I read your rambling report correctly, you bought it 3/31 and attempted to return it 4/1.

Is it their stated return policy, that no refunds after 7 days?

If so, what reason did they give for not accepting the return?

Again, was this an ordered item or in stock?
