The winning numbers are not posted immediatly after the cut off time. The evening daily 4 cut off time is 10:10 pm,and the number is not drawn until 10:50 pm.What are they doing in this 40min. period of time? Are they consulting their lottery computer to see what numbers have not been entired and then programing the ping pong balls? You can play $100.00 in combination numbers and not win anything ever which is impossible.I called the lottery office to get the cut off time for the evening daily 4,and the customer service rep put me on hold and said he would have to ask his supr.I am now sure that they are cheating.

Every lottery, both at the state level like the Hoosier lottery, and multi-state games like Powerball have a cut-off time.  If you buy a ticket after that time, it goes towards the next game.  The reason behind this is to help prevent fraud at both the consumer and retail level where the tickets are sold.  Just because the Hoosier lottery has a 40 cut-off prior to the numbers being choosen is not a rip-off.  Inconvenience?  Maybe.  But definately not a rip-off.  Also, if you play the match-3 game, it is totally possible to play $100 and not win like you think is not possible.  Within the match-3 game, there are 1000 different possiblities ranging from 000 to 999.  So if you bough $100 worth of tickets, and they are all a different number, you are only giving yourself a 10% chance of winning anything.  Why not spend $1000?  One ticket for every number combination.  Therefore you guarntee yourself a win. You also state that you think that it is so they consult what numbers were not picked so that number would win.  First of all, that is against the law for the state lottery commision to due.  Plus, it can't be done since the winning numbers are random and cannot be rigged without a huge scandle in the winds.  Secondly, the state would lose out on collecting tax money on the winnings if that was the case.  So the state would really lose!  What would the point in the state purposely losing money?
