I filled-out an application thinking that is a good company to establish my credit. After I have given information on the financial institution from where Horizon can bill me for the $29.99, I was made to believe that I will receive a comfirmation message in my email. However, I have checked many times for any message from this company but didn't get any at all.
I will definitely call back Horizon and my financial institution as my next step since I realized that today is a holiday. Having done further seraches about what's going on, I came across with many complaints! My point here is it may not be too late to get my money and stop further transaction with this company...but what about information I have given them...such as my social security, birthday, mother's maiden name etc...This is what scares me most now. Please advise me on what to do next.
I am writing this to keep other consumers informed that they are not only losing money but all personal info data provided to this company which obviously will lead to identity theft!!!

You are finding out that this so called "credit card" which is supposed to somehow improve your credit that it is all fees. Now, please hear me out for a minute .
I believe that you do want to improve your credit, but first off think about this.....have credit cards really been the answer to your prayers? Think about why you need to improve your credit? I am thinking cause you owed debt on or did not pay debt on some things in your past. So the first thing you need to do is get that debt paid off.
You need to make a budget every month and live on that. Stay away from using credit cards because when you use them you are not living on what you can AFFORD each month. You are over spending at that point. Studies show that when you use credit cards you are spending on average of 18% more than if you spent CASH. If you go out to dinner it is much easier to add on that extra dessert for two when you use plastic than if you are handing out cash because when you fork out that forty bucks you are actually thinking about it and you realize how much you just SPENT. Had you used a card it does not make the same impact on you.
Third, if you want to build up your credit then pay off all of your remaining debt, pay your landlord/mortgage EARLY every single month and you will build your credit! You will find out quickly how much cash you will have when you are not paying car payments and credit cards!
It took me going thru Dave Ramsey's plan and learning how to get out of debt and build wealth. I am not rich, I live in a modest home, I am disabled and I am not going to be a slave to Credit Cards any longer. I do not use them and have not for years now. I have a nice '06 Equinox and it is paid for. So that is how to re build your credit.
I hope you will take this post in heart and know I am posting it because I have been on the other side of credit card slavery and being in debt not because of careless spending,but huge medical bills. I have had 45 surgeries so I know alot about having financial difficulties. I wish you the best!
