Hotbuyselectronics.com - Hotbuys Electronics ripoff Lies Slow Shipping Claimed charged back after 6 months! Beware! Brooklyn New York

Tracking information was promissed to be emailed every time I called to check on my order. Shipment eta calculator on their website, using our invoice and zip code never showed any results. I received the tracking information only after filing a chargeback with my credit card company. After we finally received the item, we dropped the chargeback claim. We verified on the credit card statement that we were charged for the item. We thought our ordeal was over, even though we do not enjoy the DVR we purchased because of the thought of what we went through to get it.


Now, six months later we receive a call from Hotbuys claiming that we recently filed a chargeback - No chargeback was made, we checked our credit card statement to make sure, even though we knew we did not initiate a new claim. I instructed Hotbuys to fax any info regarding a charge back. I received a poorly written statement including my ENTIRE Credit Card # with typo's and incorrect information regarding the delivery date (it said our order arrived 1 week earlier than it did) of the item with a request for me to sign agreeing that I owed more money! I am not sure if this company is trying to rip me off or if they are severely incompetent. We have canceled this credit card in fear that Hotbuys will charge us wrongly. Beware!
