I ordered a dog collar, leash and dog toy from hotdogcollars.com the last week in July with an wholesale account i had just established. I have not received the order yet and figured it was due to the 7-9 day shipping lead time.
after further researching my missing items i have been told that there is a minimum order of $150 dollars to get wholesale rates. I have notified the company that I have no interest in ordering that much merchandise to start off with and they are now holding my merchandise, which is why i havent received it. they will not release the orderuntil i order enough to equall $150 dollars (keep in mind i only order $33.75 worth of stuff as it is now so look how much more they are wanting me to buy just so i can get what i already paid for) yes thir website says you have to have a minimum order of $150 to start with but it also says you will have no min re-order amount and then on the next paragraph it say sthere is a min reorder amount of $100.00. the website is no help and the phone # gets you nowhere but to a machine.
i am now out my money, have no product to show for it and even got a nasty email from hotdogcollars.com that says they have deleted my account and in these very words"go waste one of our competitors time"...this email was in response to mine asking for my additional options for receiving my prducts.
nowhere on their website states that you will be debited money for your cart until you hit your limit it says your order will be held...that could mean a number of things. They offer a 24 hour cancelation period which again states 2 different things...a 5% fee and up to a 50% fee for cancelling...both of which i am inelligible for because this is well over 24 hours now. evertime i checked the status of my order it said "in process" so thats exactly what i thought it was...just in process. i will NEVER use this company again and i am seeking recourse with paypal, my financial instituton and with my local news company.

Our wholesale policy is clearly displayed on our website and as well as the welcome letter. The policy is based on a number of individuals who were registering as a business, ordering a small amount of product at a deep discount, and then disappearing into the night. As a result, we have a minimum order requirement for your opening order.
Ms Kristin's order is still packaged and waiting for her response. She can either add items to the order to meet the minimum, remove her wholesale application and pay the difference up to retail pricing, or cancel the order as per our policy.
We have thousands of satisfied customers, a 5 star Nextag rating, an Outstanding BizRate rating, and 4.5 stars on Google Checkout. We did not achieve this incredible customer support by ripping anyone off.
