Hotel Aniene in Rome Italy This hotel's operation is very sneaky and dishonest!! Rome, Italy

Yes! I have been threatened by Hotel Aniene in Rome Italy.  I wanted to cancel my reservation with them on December 18, due to I finally saw some true reviews about their hotel.  In fact, I won't stay at their hotel till Dec 29 and check out on January 1.  I even called booking.com and talked to the hotel staff on December 18.  The hotel staff still told me that I cannot get my refund back!  Absolutely nothing. That's their hotel policy.  They said, "That's what you book online through booking.com, and that's a 100% non-refundable package, so you cannot have the refund back. That's our hotel policy." 

When I mentioned to them, "I will travel all by myself.  A female alone in Italy.  I am worried about my safeness.  I saw many graffiti on the walls of the streets through Google.  I didn't read all of those true reviews about your hotel location till today."  The hotel staff just lay to me, and she said, "I don't have any problem at all, even when I walk on the streets after work at 9PM."  I was like...  What!???????  I just got stolen for all of my $$$, credit cards, debit cards, driver's license, medical insurance, and etc. at 5PM on December 21st at the metro underground of Spanish Steps and Fontana de Trevi.  I stayed at the hostel near Rome Termini.  That area is quite dirty and full of wanderers all the time.  However, the walls of the residential area are not full of graffiti.  How can I believe that an area's walls are full of graffiti is safe and nothing happens at night!?  Don't lie!!!!!  I have been to many cities and countries, how can't I tell whether an area is dangerous or not!?

So, I called Hotel Aniene on December 23.  I mentioned to them that all of my $$, credit cards, debit cards, and etc. were all stolen on the 21st of December.  In this case, I must return to U.S.  They still said, "NO. You cannot get your money back, because you booked your single room through booking.com, and you read the refund policy."  I was like...  What refund policy is that!?  I didn't even use their hotel service, room, facility and eat any of their breakfasts.  How can't I get any refund!?  They have the right to take a portion of my deposit, but not 100%!!!!!!  None of the business in the world would do that to their customers!  When I emailed them again and told them, "I don't think that any business, services would do that to their customers.  Even though they cannot get a 100% refund back, they must get some portion back!  Any policies are made by human beings, and they can be changed by human beings.

Most importantly, I didn't even use any of your services, room, facilities, and eat the food!"  When I mentioned in the email that I would write a review and tell the truth, they threatened me that they would forward my bad review to their legal department.  I was like....  WHAT!!!!!!!?????  What the hack with this hotel!?  No wonder so many people didn't see the true reviews of their hotel and fell into the trap! Because they hide all of the true reviews about their hotel, and they only showed the good ones!!!!  They threatened the customers whom wanted to write all of the true reviews, so the hotel staff will forward the so-called bad reviews to their legal department!  GEEEEZ!!!!!!  I NEVER EVER EXPERIENCE THIS KIND OF DARK HOTEL, WHICH THEY ONLY EAT YOUR MONEY, MAKE THEIR CUSTOMERS FALL INTO THE TRAP, AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS' SAFENESS!!!!!
