Hello,
To whom this may concern, I would like to contact the Corporate Office to put in a complaint. On the day the Senitra Benjamin Party ordered dresses our consultant act like she did not want to be bothered with us and we had to keep looking for her. Second, I was unable to fit the demo dress so she was going to measure me for my dress and when she measured me I noticed she was measuring me OVER my cloths, which I had on a Big Sweater and tank top under it. I asked consultant did she need me to take off my sweater and she was like no. Once she got done with her job half done she told me I would need a 28 size dress and I was like WOW, you have to be kidding...I have never wore a dress that big, but she said that is the dress size I need so that is the size I ordered, according to her.
Third, when the dress came in, my dress was at lease 2-3 sizes too big and I was missing a piece to lace dress up in the back, so when I brought the dress in for them to see me in it, the manager Chris and consultant stated the dress fit...it was just missing a back piece of the dress. I really don't understand why they thought this big dress fit me because prior to coming in, everyone that seen me in the dress, said the say thing...dress was too big on me and the missing piece would not make a difference. Not only is the dress to big but too long...I will have to have at least a yard of material cut from the bottom of the dress and at lease 2 inches from each side altered. All I wanted them to do is re order the dress in my right size but they do not want to do that due to the missing piece.
So once I got back home I had my mother use a temporary piece to lack dress up in the back and it did make a little difference however the dress would fit perfect if it was my correct size. I am still able to step out the dress once its laced up and you should not be able to step out the dress once laced up...that usually mean too big!! I have to still do too much altering to make it fit my body and I had to pay extra for the bigger dress and now they want me to fix a dress that was ordered wrong due to the consultant negligence. I did not ask for my money back....all I wanted was to be happy about my dress I paid 200.00 for and they act like they don't want to make a paying customer happy.
The way I feel right now, I will NEVER do business or refer anyone to their company again and I truly believe they were at full fault and all I wanted for them to do, is make the CUSTOMER HAPPY by re-ordering dress in my correct size where I won't have to do all these major alterations. The dress is horrible and bulky looking and the sad part is we could have went to several over Bridal shops but the Bride chose House of Brides and this is the satisfaction you get with dealing with your company? Can someone please contact me ASAP or I will get the BBB involved

Dear Customer,
We apologize for any inconvenience. We invite you to contact Customer Relations, customerrelations@houseofbrides.com to further discuss your issue.
We reviewed your order with the salon manager. We are an authorized retailer of our designers. The designers provide House of Brides and all authorized retailers with a standard size chart. The size chart provides the sizes and measurements per size. Designer size charts vary between designers and from normal street clothes.
Designers advise retailers to take a customer's measurements and compare them to their size chart. Because the dresses are not custom made, sizes are based on the designer's chart and often measurements can indicate different sizes. For example, a bust measurement may indicate a larger size than a waist measurement.
Depending on the style of the dress, most often a customer's largest measurement determines the size to order so that the size accommodates the measurement. Thus almost all dresses will need some type of alterations to ensure the best fit.
The size ordered was based on your measurements and specifically to accommodate the fit at your hips. The manager confirmed the bodice needed alterations to take-int. However, the size ordered was based on the hip measurement and to ensure the fit. The gown also needed hemming because designers cut their gowns to a standard length. Typically standard length is 58" hollow to hem.
The gown was received at the salon with the tie. However, the manager reordered an additional tie when you informed her the tie was missing from your gown during your visit. She also discussed options with you at this time.
Please contact Customer Relations, customerrelations@houseofbrides.com to further discuss your issue.
Sincerely,
House of Brides

My neighbor is getting married in September. She told me she's getting her veil at HOB. I talked her out of it. She's going to get it at Davids Bridal instead.
