I am not even sure where to start.

First off, when we filled out our home loan paperwork, the loan agent had added different incomes, cars and etc so that we would get approved for a larger loan. (we found this out much later - just to give you an idea of what kind of company this is).

Second, this loan was not attached to our house to begin with.

About 6 months into this loan, we tried to refinance it through household, hfc, beneficial We decided to refi through the same company, cause they said it would be a possibility in about 6 mo. (They had quoted us a 12% interest rate, and it ended up being about 20%). (another gripe for another day!)

They sent us tons of paperwork and said over the phone that they would probably refinance it for us.

We filled out all of the paperwork, including the paperwork that would now attach this loan to our house.

They declined the loan, but the paperwork to attach the loan to our house was PUT IN WITH THE ORIGINAL LOAN with a different date on it.
Now, the loan was attached to our house.

It was originally at $15,000 loan.

We paid about 15 payments of $275 and because my husband was diagnosed with kidney disease (PKD) and we have had a lot of medical expenses, we got behind on our payments.

We just refinanced our house to get rid of this HFC loan... they charged us more than $20000 to pay it off!!! The loan was originally 15,000, and we had made about 15 payments for $275.... you do the math... now we just had to pay $20,000.

These people are evil and have no soul.

Their rip off has used a lot of our home equity.
